If you don’t have (or you don’t want) a hardware MIDI interface, you can definitely set up something similar with a MIDI patchbay/merger/splitter software (MIDI Lab, MIDI Patchbay, etc). In either case, the idea is to merge all or several of your inputs together so they show up as a single port, and echo all inputs to all outputs (except themselves). Source: about 2 years ago
