My advice, look for some hobbies and group events, try to fine something a tad fun and test it out. If you don't like it, then try a diff one. Try to find some that involves exercise if you are not already doing that. I recommend working on a good personal project, keeping yourself busy (probably help out open source projects), dont get discouraged. And network the hell out. So I would suggest searching both meetup.com and facebook for your local board gaming and d&d groups. I would also check in with your local comic book and gaming shops and ask around for D&D groups, D&D Adventures League, and any board gaming/war gaming groups that go on.
