  • AdSense closed my account, what are my options now?
I've heard good things of media.net or if you're interested in monetizing with Native you can try Taboola or RevContent. They have some minimum requirements of traffic. So you will need to check with them if you meet them. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Group/Subreddit for Placement OA discussion
Is there any fb group or subreddit where I can clarify my doubts about OA questions of placements and internships , just know I gave media.net OA and and I just need to the intuition for one of the questions. Thanks for the same. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Ad revenue down 50% despite same traffic
Content is 100% clean. All my own work. Our partners did have a falling out with media.net so perhaps thats the cause. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Ads in react apps
My understanding of Google adsense is you need lots of content for them to generate ads and it looks like some others are similar and require lots of views before you can set up the ads (Media.net, Adversal). I am not really into creating content like blogs but more interactive and functional apps, so I don't think these products would work. Source: over 3 years ago
  • HOW MUCH IS THAT TRUE KYA TIER 3 WALE STRUGLE HI KARTE RHE JAYEGE KYA
Agree with the screenshot. Tier matters in initial years. In my college avg salary is 4 LPA. Max is 8 LPA (media.net). Mine is 7.5 (Capg). Source: over 3 years ago
  • Made A Mistake, Banned for Duplicate Content, Now What?
I have about 25000 Site visits a month, sadly to few to qualify for media.net or other serious networks. I've been recommended Ezoic, but they require an Adsense-approved website it seems. Source: over 3 years ago

  • Who else thinks Ezoic is over-rated?
When you're using Ezoic, they'll replace Adsense ad units even if they are not wrapped. Their script also remove media.net script call unwrapped. I did not want that because I wanted to mix CPC and CPM ads. I had to ask them to remove that feature. Otherwise, it will take over the common platforms' ad codes. Source: over 4 years ago
  • Choosing the right tool for Documentation
Recently, weโ€™ve been trying to improve the Product Practice at Media.net. Itโ€™s been a fun challenge that has us formalize a lot of things we did, as PMs, in an individual capacity while trying to ensure that the flexibility that enables us to be innovative is not curtailed. • Ad networks for smaller blogs?
I run a small, but niche topic blog. I don't expect to make a lot of money or anything from it, but would like to put some ads up to keep the lights on. I was on media.net but they just gave me the boot due to not having enough traffic. I'm never going to have the kind of traffic they are looking for. Are there any ad networks that cater to or just allow smaller blogs? Source: over 4 years ago
  • Google Adsense alternatives for Wordpress that actually serve display banner ads & not ugly popups, etc. in 2021?
I currently have a Wordpress website that gets around 30,000 unique visits a month and have looked at info on alternatives out there (Media.net and Propeller Ads mostly), but my god their ad placements are intrusive/ugly. Source: almost 5 years ago

  • Ezoic is not an ad network - but what is it then?
I would not consider media.net a competitor to Ezoic. Full service monetization platforms that compete with Ezoic - AdThrive/Cafe Media, Mediavine, Freestar, Monetize More, Playwire, Nitropay, Adpushup, Pubwise, Longitude Ads, Proper Media. I'm sure there are others, but that should be enough to get you started. If you ask this question in r/adops, you are likely to be pitched by at least half of those companies... • Ezoic is not an ad network - but what is it then?
On the smaller one I'm trying out Ezoic. While searching for alternatives I stumbled across AdThrive, Revcontent and media.net. Source: about 5 years ago
  • Using parked domains
Check out Newsy - https://www.newsy.co - it's something similar. You connect your domain, it displays contents through your domain. But you can also add your "own" ads (e.g. Google ads, media.net ads etc). Source: about 5 years ago

Summary of the public mentions of Media.net

Media.net, a prominent player in the advertising and ad network field, operates as a significant alternative to Google AdSense, ranking as the #2 contextual ads program globally by revenue. Positioned as the primary ad provider for Bing and Yahoo, Media.net offers access to an extensive network of content publishers and advertisers, utilizing advanced technologies like server-to-server header bidding โ€” a pioneering effort that maximizes publisher revenue with minimal page latency.

Public Perception and Usability:

From recent discussions and articles, Media.net's reception appears mixed. On the positive side, it is praised for its customizable and user-friendly platform. The ability to optimize impressions with a single ad tag and access to high-quality ads by creating partnerships with major buyer networks is considered a significant advantage. There's a prevalent acknowledgment of its effectiveness in accessing the Yahoo! and Bing network, thus leveraging a vast search market for ad placements.

In terms of integration, several users emphasize Media.net's ease in creating new ad units using standard technology such as HTML and JavaScript, which involves minimal technical complexity. This aspect of Media.net is favorably regarded, especially by those less technically inclined who can implement code simply by inserting a few lines into their webpage's source.

Challenges and Comparisons:

However, some users express concerns regarding Media.net's stringent approval process and traffic requirements, which can be challenging for smaller blogs with limited readership. The necessity for substantial traffic to sustain a partnership with Media.net could deter smaller publishers who cannot meet these criteria. There are mentions of dissatisfaction from users reporting lower revenue per mille (RPM) compared to alternatives like AdSense, exacerbating a perception of potentially lower earnings.

Moreover, Media.net receives criticism for its ad placements, which some users find intrusive or unattractive compared to rivals. There appears to be a perception that while Media.net serves well for high-traffic sites, smaller sites may not yield optimal results.

Comparative Edge with Competitors:

When evaluated against competitors like Ezoic, AdSense, and RevContent, Media.net stands out with its direct access to Yahoo! and Bing searches, catering to sites that can monetize contextual advertising effectively. While considered a viable alternative, the network is often recommended for more seasoned sites with adequate traffic volume rather than for new or small-scale publishers who might benefit more from networks like Ezoic or Infolinks, which offer different structures and traffic requirements.

In conclusion, while Media.net is recognized as a robust alternative to Google AdSense offering customizable ad solutions and extensive advertiser networks, the platform is best suited for sites with significant traffic and established readership. Smaller publishers might find it challenging to meet its stringent criteria or preferred ad formats. Nevertheless, for those who qualify, Media.net presents an effective means to diversify and potentially grow ad revenue streams beyond the scope of AdSense, provided their site aligns with Media.netโ€™s operational model and demands.
