We allow all providers to be connected โGmail, iCloud, Outlook, etc. It's easier and faster than Gmail, but it costs less than a third of what Superhuman charges.
Plus, we will never sell your data, unlike others.
Beautifully designed, easy to use, fast and it doesn't break the bank.
Individuals who are willing to pay for an email client instead of having their data harvested.
We wanted something as nice as Superhuman but that would allow me to connect all of my email accounts, not only Gmail and Outlook. So we built it.

We built a cross-platform offline-first IMAP client: https://marcoapp.io Search is single-digit ms. All metadata stored on the client. I built this over the course of a year, literally driven by my frustration with Apple Mail. Maybe give it a try! Edit: Also, extremely brave of you to upgrade to Tahoe. No chance for me. - Source: Hacker News / about 22 hours ago
Also ran into serious issues with Apple Mail, and started building a new product: https://marcoapp.io. - Source: Hacker News / 17 days ago
As others have mentioned, the search and overall performance of โlegacyโ products like Gmail and Apple Mail are absolutely terrible, not because those companies lack the technical capacity to improve them, but because they have very little financial incentive to do so. Weโre building an IMAP-native email client: https://marcoapp.io All metadata is stored locally on the client, so full-text searches complete in... - Source: Hacker News / 2 months ago
Check out what we're building: https://marcoapp.io Basically a cross-platform Thunderbird replacement whose sole goal is to "not suck". Full-text search is entirely client side (not via IMAP) and returns results in single-digit ms. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago

This is indeed a really weird article, and seems to be partially generated from [content](https://marcoapp.io/blog/marco-an-introduction) that I, as an actual human, wrote. In any case, I do agree that "reinventing" email, or building a business based on "AI features" are both terrible ideas. We began building Marco not to do either of these things, but simply because _there wasn't_ any actual cross-platform IMAP... - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
Personally, I use iCloud+ for custom domain hosting. I migrated from Gmail about a year ago. Yes, it's a walled garden, but a lesser of two evils for sure. And if you have email accounts spread across multiple providers, check out the email client I am currently building: https://marcoapp.io Supports anything that supports IMAP/SMTP, but crucially is cross-platform (desktop + mobile apps). - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
We're using app passwords for Marco (https://marcoapp.io), until we get through the unnecessarily-rigorous process of gaining privileged OAuth access for email scopes. Here's the support article we link our users to: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833 Workspace is a bit different, however. You need an admin to enable app passwords. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
Agreed! One of the reasons we started working on Marco. https://marcoapp.io. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
If what you mean is that Google-only is a non-starter for yourself personally, check out what we're working on at Marco. It's IMAP-primitive: https://marcoapp.io. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
Excellent work! We're building something similar at Marco: https://marcoapp.io If you're up for a chat sometime I'd be keen! Very impressed with your work. - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
IMAP is indeed nightmare fuel. We're building https://marcoapp.io. - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
A cross-platform, cross-provider, IMAP client. Started building this with a friend, as I was personally frustrated at the lack of good options when it comes to "true IMAP" email clients. https://marcoapp.io. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
