Hey everyone, I want to share something I have been building over the past few weeks. Not because it is perfect, but because the journey has been real and I think a lot of people here will relate to the problem it solves. I am Bamidele, a founder and operator based in Lagos, Nigeria. Before this I built PromptEarn, an African affiliate platform, to $2M revenue in 12 months. I have worked as CMO and growth lead across SaaS, fintech, e-commerce, and EdTech companies across Africa. But this product came from a personal frustration. The problem I kept seeing Every freelancer and agency owner I know has the same complaint. Finding clients is exhausting. Not the selling part. The finding part. They wake up, open Google Maps, start clicking through businesses one by one, visit websites looking for a contact page, find nothing half the time, copy the occasional phone number into a spreadsheet, and by noon they have 15 contacts and a whole morning gone. The tools that exist to solve this, Apollo, Hunter, Lusha, Clearbit, charge $50 to $100 per month or more. For a freelancer in Lagos earning in naira or a consultant in Nairobi earning in shillings, that pricing is simply not realistic. These tools were built for US enterprise sales teams. They were not built for the next billion service providers coming online in Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. So I built something that was. What LeadThur does You type any business type and any city. LeadThur streams back 1,000+ businesses with their direct phone numbers, emails, websites, and Google ratings in under 60 seconds. That is it. No complicated onboarding. No 47 filter settings. No CRM integration required. You type what you want, you pick a city, and results appear live on your screen while you watch. One click exports everything to CSV. You go from zero leads to outreach-ready in under a minute. It works in 195 countries. We have users finding restaurants in Lagos, law firms in Dubai, salons in Accra, gyms in Nairobi, and dental clinics in London with the same tool and the same experience. What happened when we launched We had paying customers within 72 hours of launch. No Product Hunt. No press. No paid acquisition beyond a small test campaign on Meta. Just organic posts and word of mouth between freelancers who had the problem. We have made $2,850 in our first 30 days. Every dollar from real users who found real value. That number is small. I know that. But here is the context that makes it interesting. We have not launched on Product Hunt yet. We have not run a serious paid campaign yet. We have not listed on AppSumo, G2, or Capterra. We have not approached a single newsletter or media outlet. Every major distribution channel is untouched. $2,850 is what one founder posting organically generates. That is the baseline. Everything else is upside. What I am thinking about right now A few things I am actively wrestling with and would love honest feedback on. Pricing. We launched at $15 lifetime. We are moving to $30. Beyond that I am thinking about a monthly subscription model for users who want ongoing access with higher search limits. Curious how others have thought about the lifetime deal to subscription transition without burning early users. The emerging markets angle. Most B2B SaaS advice assumes your users are in the US or Europe. Our users are primarily in Nigeria, Ghana, Kenya, South Africa, and the UAE. The distribution channels, the payment methods, the customer psychology, and the product expectations are genuinely different. I am still learning what works and what does not in this context. The data freshness moat. Unlike Apollo and others who pull from static databases, LeadThur pulls live data on every search. A business that changed its phone number last week will have its new number in LeadThur today. I think this is a real moat but I am curious whether the people here think it is defensible long term or whether a well funded competitor can replicate it easily. Features versus distribution. Right now I am torn between building more features, social media profile enrichment, WhatsApp outreach templates, email sender, and doubling down on distribution to grow the user base first. Classic tension. What has worked for others at this stage? What I would love from this community Honest feedback. Not cheerleading. If you are a freelancer, agency owner, or consultant, does this solve a real problem for you or am I wrong about the pain? If you have built a SaaS tool, where did you find the most leverage early, product or distribution? If you have sold to African markets before, what do you wish you had known earlier?
