Le Grimoire started from a writer's own frustration. While working on a first novel (100,000 words, around fifty characters, and still not finished), I kept juggling a word processor, scattered notes and character spreadsheets just to keep my universe straight. Out of sheer stubbornness, and with no formal coding background, I ended up building the tool I wished existed. The name comes from my studio, Karasumei. The goal was always the same: a tool that helps authors write, not one that writes for them.
Le Grimoire is a Windows desktop application built with Electron and Vue, using SQLite for local storage and the TipTap rich text editor. It features a 3D timeline powered by Babylon.js. It's packaged as MSIX and distributed through the Microsoft Store. AI features run through a secure proxy, with payments handled by Polar as Merchant of Record.
