  • The day I canceled my Spotify subscription
I switched to, mainly for the high audio quality (it goes up to 192kHz 24bit, which is worth it for me as I have the necessary equipment to make use of this), but it also supports "Spotify quality" i.e. Mp3 quality/320 kbps, but I stayed for the experience. It does not really have an algorithm, there is one playlist "My weekly Q", which updates each week with songs that you could like. The only... - Source: Hacker News / 4 months ago
  • Mr. Bungle - Nananana (lost fake song)
Hi, anyone remember that song? I remember I downloaded it from ares and I liked it but unfortunately it wasn't by mr bungle, it was just mislabelled (like the toxic cover). If anyone has it around I would like to hear it again! On it comes up as some people listen to it from time to time. Any info you have, or the original artist, I'd appreciate it. From what I remember it sounded like a demo and just said... Source: 6 months ago
  • 1970’s music makes me feel the most alive. What music does that for you?
Try, great website for recommending music. Those one's you suggested are a bit more jazzy than I usually listen to but maybe try What's Goin' On - Marvin Gaye. Talking Book, or Songs in the Key of Life - Stevie Wonder. Couple of my favorites. Source: 6 months ago
  • Outjerked by last fm
Average comment section to be fair. Source: 6 months ago
  • I Tried Apple Music and That Made Me Realize How Much Polish TIDAL is Missing
However, I can fully enjoy my subscription with Tidal thanks to the integrated scrobbler. I could with AM too but it would be necessary to download (and buy) two different scrobblers : one for iOS and one for macOS. Then, I feel like Tidal has more interesting recommendations, especially when we talk about lesser-known artists. Tidal Rising allows for nice discoveries while AM is much more focused on music... • No scrobbles since December 1st
Do not just do it on your phone, do it on a desktop/laptop. Go to main page, click on the Spotify scrobble connect and connect to Spotify via and then play a song and it should add any recent songs you've scrobbled assuming you were doing it. Sometimes you have to do it often, but I find it's more reliable via a computer vs a phone. Source: 7 months ago
  • What’s your favorite bands beside The Strokes?
Acordding to my account, at least:. Source: 7 months ago
  • Just deleted my account – thanks to Maloja and multi-scrobbler
In the end,, wasn't of any purpose for me, except scrobbling. Their site never much evolved and I feel like they could shut down anytime now and none of my friends are scrobbling anymore. Source: 7 months ago
  • I started using Spotify but didn't found out why it's way better than YTM (as ppl saying)
If recaps are important, just use to scrobble your songs from your preferred service. Then you can pull up reports anytime you want. Source: 7 months ago
  • Thoughts on Scrobble farming?
But then again it's either bots or teenagers doing this - and like, it's not actively harming anyone really - it's not artificial streams which could affect artists' bottom line. Top song charts was never I was actively listening to anyway, and that's basically the only thing I come across that's affected by that in my daily usage. I only occasionally like a shout that's dunking on those accounts if I see... Source: 7 months ago
  • Two obscure artists with the same name, where does the discography come from?
Both are, I would wager, equally obscure, with the UK one having more listeners than the German one, for the reason alone that they are on Spotify, while the German band disbanded before that was a thing. The UK Morain, being newer and active in the hayday of digital publishing has about 30 "albums" that are all displayed on the page of the band (actually a whole lot of singles/EPs). Not a single album of... Source: 7 months ago
  • Hit 300,000 scrobbles today after nearly 19 years
Congrats on the milestone and for the commitment to all these years! I'll reach 300k scrobbles too somewhere in February next year, after scrobbling for 16 years. Source: 7 months ago
  • Possible Lead (maybe)
To add to my comment in my edit, people also did look through the account a while ago, and found nothing to go off from. His scrobbles on the date he posted on WatZatSong don't relate at all either. There is also no proof Carl92 is Polish and there is no way of getting in contact with him unless you dig through his following and find his friends. It just is odd to cross that boundary, especially with... Source: 7 months ago
  • Possible Lead (maybe) is usually not a site used for finding music, from my experience. It also looks like the account is dead. Though I will say can have artist pages for artists that don't have a page on any streaming platforms like Spotify, Soundcloud, etc. [Songs not on those services can found here if they were downloaded on Spotify by local files]. • iTunes help
I'm currently using iTunes and, not sure if this has any relevance, but I also use the scrobbler. Source: 7 months ago
  • i have a tiny library
Oh that is a bummer. Was a good site for expanding understanding off the genre web. Another I found is Chosic for looking up individual songs. I have a python script that will update genre tags based on a combo of and spotify data via their APIs. Right now it does it on an artist basis but I need to flip it to a per song basis. It roughs in genres but it is not perfect. Always nice to have some place... Source: 7 months ago
  • Only songs in my library are scrobbled
Marvis is a 3rd party player for Apple Music. You can literally build your own Apple Music with it (think of smart mixes etc.). And one of its many features is to scrobble to, every song no matter if it's in your library or not and it does it very reliably. If you don't need the many other features of Marvis you could also try out QuietScrob. It is also scrobbling every played song to your account. Source: 7 months ago
  • Spotify is shutting down in my country. Alternatives?
I remember before I got Spotified, I used as my daily driver for my music consumption for a while. Source: 7 months ago
  • Notbused this App before is just for spotify right? I use to track music on almost any interface you can think of:. Source: 7 months ago
  • Is Triple J In For A Music Shakeup As Most Played Artists Revealed?
Thinking on it, the top 3 there are all probably missed scrobbles on because of features and such. Don't mind me! Source: 7 months ago
  • My profile is now older than I was when I created it
Wow 16 year anniversary, cool! I was a few months past 4 years old when your account was created haha. Source: 7 months ago

9 Best Free Music Download Sites in 2022 is the flagship product of Audioscrobbler's music engine design team. Users "record" tracks more than 10 million times a day to Last FM's servers, it's one of the world's largest social music platforms.
9 best free Spotify alternatives is more about music discovery than listening to what you already know: its famous "scrobbling" analyses the songs you listen to (not just on the site, but in desktop and mobile music apps too) and comes up with suggestions for similar music it thinks you'll like. Frustratingly many of the available tracks are just previews, and the free radio streaming is a paid-for service in some countries (but not the UK).
