1. Why should a person choose Kwip.mt over its competitors?

2. What's the story behind Kwip.mt?

   Kwip was founded in Malta by Duane Chetcuti, a software developer who spent years building web and software products for other businesses through his agency, Solveita. His view is that AI has collapsed the moat on building software, so the real opportunity moved to physical businesses run with a serious digital edge.

   So Kwip was built software first. The fleet is the visible part, but the advantage is the dispatch, capacity and pricing engine behind it. Kwip launched in 2026 with one van and one driver, deliberately running the full multi-vehicle system from day one.

   Kwip is a Malta courier built as a software company that happens to own vans, not a courier company that bought a website. The difference shows up in how you book: there is no daily cutoff time, no CSV manifest to upload and no minimum volume. You tell Kwip an order is packed, the system offers real pickup slots calculated against actual van capacity on the road that day, and the parcel is delivered the next day from pickup.

   Pricing is one number per drop, from €3.99 excl VAT, published on the site before you speak to anyone. Everything else is a clearly listed €1 option rather than a quote. There is no monthly volume requirement, no contract and no minimum parcels per collection, so a seller doing one order a week and a store doing thirty a day use the same service on the same terms.

5. Which are the primary technologies used for building Kwip.mt?

   Kwip runs on an API-only Laravel backend with a Next.js front end, deployed on Laravel Cloud. Data sits in PostgreSQL with Valkey for caching and queues, and files in Cloudflare R2. The interface is built with shadcn/ui and Tailwind across every surface: the public site, the merchant portal, the partner app and the internal staff desk.

   Billing runs on Stripe with card on file. Merchant and recipient messaging goes through the WhatsApp Cloud API. Delivery zones are stored as polygons in Postgres. Routing and capacity, including the pickup slot engine that models ferry crossings to Gozo as a hard constraint, are built in house rather than bought.
