  I used to use Flameshot, but then switched to ksnip due to some annoying bugs I had experienced. Not sure whether those still exist nowadays, but I kind of like that with ksnip you get a window which remembers all your recent screenshots. Source: over 2 years ago

  Gnome Screenshot is part of the default installation - much easier/nicer than than using a camera to take a picture of the screen. The screenshot utility I prefer is ksnip, and I recommend/use the AppImage because it is a Qt-based and the AppImage contains all of those dependencies. Nothing extra to install.   If you are looking for a screen capture utility, I highly recommend kSnip. Compared to Flameshot, I find kSnip to have a less cluttered interface and much easier to use.
