Have you tried looking at https://www.opencyclemap.org/ or something like komoot.com? OCM will show you the cycle routes around (as /u/CaptRik says, the 236 national cycle route will take you there - looks to be a simple route), and Komoot can do a route plan for you between two points which you can follow in an app and also shows a breakdown of what type of surface and road you'll be on. For your route, it's... Source: 11 months ago
I usually use komoot (komoot.com, but there's also an app). IIRC it's paid, if you want the maps offline (can be bought for $10 on sale, otherwise $30). Do note that not all countries are supported, so best to check this out first.. Source: 11 months ago
Got any friends that cycle? See if you can borrow a bike and go for a ride with one of them for an hour or two one evening - just get used to being on the road, how to signal, etc. If you're already comfy on a bike then it'll come really easy, and your fitness will build surprisingly fast too. Also maybe have a look on something like Komoot to check out possibly routes, Oxford has a surprising amount of little... Source: 11 months ago
Just downloaded Arc, very interesting, excited to try this new experience. I use komoot.com a lot to plan my bike rides, but when I opened it in Arc, it seems like it cannot render the map section because of Komoot not being able to access WebGL. Did anyone experience similar problems, even with other websites? Source: 11 months ago
You can use other route finder like strava.com , komoot.com, ridewithgps.com. Source: 12 months ago
I use https://komoot.com to figure out my route and I figure out the settings on the e-bike option to see how fast I'll go. For work if I set it to in good shape on a road e-bike I get about the same time(27 mins when real time was 25 minutes) as I did on my old Wolf Warrior X Pro, for example. Source: about 1 year ago
Try researching on alltrails.com or komoot.com. Source: about 1 year ago
Plan routes with komoot, it will help avoid these problems, also you can check what surface of road in this map. This map shows all asphalted roads. And as peoples said, you can't ride bicycle on highways and motorways. Source: about 1 year ago
I would check the entire route with Google Maps Street View. Or use Komoot instead. Source: about 1 year ago
- Komoot App on my phone and Samsung Watch: easy to plan and find hikes, detailed route description, accurate travel path, works great offline, convenient navigation instructions and supports devices like Garmin. I like all of the options and I didn’t have any problems using it, it does what it promises. Another cool thing is that it is also community linked so you can share your experience and try other hikers’... Source: over 1 year ago
RideWithGps is a good source of routes as a starting point, eg 18568047 5466811—NB both Manchester → London, you'd have to reverse them! Komoot is useful when planning routes, as it makes waytypes/surfaces visible. Source: over 1 year ago
Do you have an overall elevation difference from start to finish, between those 6 miles? Knowing that will help alot, you can use a webiste like komoot.com and put in your starting point and destination and it will tell you. Source: almost 2 years ago
u/MoreWordings - yes, I know that there are tons of mountains in that area. However, I could not find marked trails to the peaks online. I checked out the marked trails on ourdooractive.com and komoot.com. - the only marked trail to a peak was Kebnekaise. Source: about 2 years ago
I'd recommend checking out komoot.com which is a great app and website for planning and finding walks. Source: about 2 years ago
Also check out komoot.com for route planning - also based on openstreetmap data. Source: over 2 years ago
Have you tried komoot.com? This one helps me finding lovely off-road routes. Source: over 2 years ago
The WeasOS app for komoot.com sucks. It navigates without a map. Perhaps you could develop an app which syncs planned tours from Komoot to open in a WearOS navigation app with turn-by-turn voice directions & map. Source: over 2 years ago
Well if you fancy it one day, I'd recommend seeing if there's anything on alltrails.com near you, and you can use the komoot app on your phone to follow the plan of where to walk (makes it easy w/out messing around with maps). Source: over 2 years ago
There are even hikes, that you can do with your sneakers, so the initial investment is 0 and you just have to research the paths and get there. A good app for starters would be komoot.com for example. Source: almost 3 years ago
Komoot is a great place to find and plan cycling tours: https://komoot.com. Source: almost 3 years ago
Komoot is really great for finding points of interest to explore, I use it a lot for touring. It comes with a free region, so you can use it for planning rides around the city for free. Source: about 3 years ago
