  Jellyfin is transcoding. Find a way to not transcode. Maximize direct play. For example Jellyfin for AndroidTV can’t direct play a lot of my media so it has to transcode. So I now use the Jellyfin for Kodi Addon on Kodi and now I never have to transcode. I also use Swiftfin instead of Jellyfin iOS for this same reason. Source: about 2 years ago

  I prefer Kodi with the Jellyfin for Kodi Addon over the Jellyfin app. Experiment with different skins to find one that you like. I recommend Embruary if you want something similar to the Jellyfin app. I personally use Aeon Nox Silvo. Source: about 2 years ago
