  • Thrustmaster T-LCM driver support
I got my G29 working, but I am using a T-LCM which isn't correctly recognized. I installed Input Remapper but it's not recognized. Source: 5 months ago
  • Autohotkey equivalent
Perhaps GitHub - sezanzeb/input-remapper: 🎮 ⌨ An easy to use tool to change the behaviour of your input devices. Will do? Source: 5 months ago
  • A kernel update broke my stylus
OK, I will byte, have you tried Input Remapper[1] ? I think most of your problem is coming from using Rocky Linux, it is much easier to find support on Ubuntu derivatives for tools made by the community in general. • [Recommendation] Not necessary, but cool software to tweak your devices (webcam, keyboard etc.)
    - Input Remapper: Custom hotkeys & remapping of keys (with Wayland support). Source: 8 months ago
  • Any good gaming mouse that is Linux compatible?
Then you can use something like input-remapper to do whatever you want. Source: 10 months ago
  • Win 4 on minecraft
I'm running Linux. I could use input remapper to handle my in-game keybinds--it's what I use outside of games to handle desktop controls (so I can just keep my Win4 in controller mode)--but I find Steam Input to be easier to manage for gaming. And Steam on Linux is pretty lightweight. Now if only I could get the performance overlay and power control plug-ins to work... Source: 12 months ago
  • Looking for Powertoys Alternative
I use Caps Lock as Enter and Shift+Caps Lock as the original Caps Lock. The software I use for this is input-remapper. Source: 12 months ago
  • General question about changing urls of a build package for Yay...
I'm using Yay to download and build this package but it's referencing python-trove-classifiers-2023.4.22-1-any.pkg.tar.zst instead of what's on the server (python-trove-classifiers-2023.4.25-1-any.pkg.tar.zst). Source: almost 1 year ago
  • Introducing: Ken-Do - A desktop-agnostic version of my Fly-Pie GNOME Shell extension!
Yeah, this could work on Windows or X11 but will be very tricky if not impossible on Wayland. Maybe it could be possible with an approach similar to input remapper... Source: about 1 year ago
  • key 2 joy options?
Input Remapper I believe supports gamepad emulation. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Using the Razer Tartarus on the Steam Deck
Install instructions for input remapper, from it's github page:. Source: about 1 year ago
  • How to remap the buttons on my wacom ctl4100 linux mint
You could also try OpenTableDriver or Input Remapper. The latter is a more general tool, while the former... Well, the name speaks for itself. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Remapping mouse keys
So for me since I play games and remap the keys depending on the game/app I use https://github.com/sezanzeb/input-remapper But to be honest I didn't try to change the "back" or "forward" key you should try and see. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Any chance somebody here has bludgeoned the sezanzeb/input-remapper project on GH to work on void?
I use some strange layouts on vintage keyboards and don't always go though the trouble of converting them all to qmk. I found this project sezanzeb/input-remapper and used to use it from the AUR when I was on Arch. It made things pretty straightforward since layouts were input device specific and non global making this rather convenient for me. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Distro Hopping too much, need something to settle on
Bonus points for ArmCord (as long as its stable. I'm still evaluating the Discord Flatpak as ArmCord recently started crashing randomly on me. ArmCord when it works is zippy, which I appreciate.) Input-Remapper (https://github.com/sezanzeb/input-remapper). Please note, I've tried the Open Build Service version on Tumbleweed and it threw a death loop at me, this program is highly vital. I've not tried the other... Source: about 1 year ago
  • Gaming mouse software in kubuntu?
This tool I have not used myself, it is more a general all-purpose tool. Source: about 1 year ago
  • I need to remap a key but I'm not sure how to do it in KDE
There might be a KDE way to do it, but I just used this app to map middle mouse button click to a double click. It does all kinds of remapping. Https://github.com/sezanzeb/input-remapper. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Making a Custom Steam Deck OS: Wayland or X11?
Does anyone have any experience or recommendations? If I know my way around xrandr, input-remapper and command-line performance tweakers, will I miss the Deck UI and Gamescope? Is running a full DE within XWayland easier than I'm making it out to be? Source: about 1 year ago
  • Slimblade extra buttons vs. Wayland?
Yes, I got it fully working but then abandoned Wayland for other reasons (software not working with it). However, Reddit is currently a mess and I can’t remember how I did it, but I’m fairly sure I either mapped the button with KDE or something like https://github.com/sezanzeb/input-remapper. • You can throw your mouse away with this keyboard remapping
I think the basic setup here is using https://github.com/sezanzeb/input-remapper to remap the mouse to keyboard keys. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Struggling to get extra mouse buttons working in KDE spin of Fedora 37
However you're on wayland, so input remapper is going to be the least stressful path (also works on x11). Source: over 1 year ago
