IsSiteSafe is a collection of eight free security tools that answer one question each, without accounts, tracking or upsells.
Security Headers Checker - scans any site for the browser protections it can switch on (CSP, HSTS, X-Frame-Options and the rest) and grades what it finds, with an explanation of what each missing header actually lets an attacker do.
Link Checker - follows a shortened URL through every redirect and shows where it really ends up, flagging chained shorteners, lookalike domains and mid-chain drops from HTTPS to HTTP.
Email Header Analyzer - paste raw email headers to see whether SPF, DKIM and DMARC passed, and whether the message genuinely came from who it claims.
Browser Fingerprint Test - shows what every site you visit can quietly read about you: canvas and audio fingerprints, fonts, WebRTC IP leaks and what your browser stores.
SSL Certificate Checker - expiry date, issuer, chain, and whether browsers actually trust it.
QR Code Safety Checker - decodes a QR image and reveals the URL hidden inside it before you scan it with a phone.
File Checksum Verifier - SHA-256, SHA-1, SHA-512 and MD5, computed in your browser. The file never leaves your device.
Hash Identifier - identifies which algorithm produced a hash, and whether that algorithm is still safe to rely on.
Four of the eight run entirely client-side, so nothing you paste or drop is ever transmitted. The tools that must contact a server (header scanning, link tracing, certificate checks) say so plainly on the page.

Most security checkers report a status and assume you already know the vocabulary. IsSiteSafe explains consequences: instead of "Content-Security- Policy: missing" it tells you that its absence is what lets an attacker run their own code on your pages. It also covers eight different questions in one place - site configuration, suspicious links, spoofed email, browser privacy - rather than one.

Where a check can run entirely in your browser, it does. File checksums, hash identification, QR decoding and the fingerprint test never transmit anything - the file or code you drop in does not leave your device. The tools that genuinely need a server, such as header scanning and certificate checks, say so plainly on the page instead of claiming privacy they cannot provide.
Two groups. Developers and system administrators checking the configuration of sites they run - the header, SSL and email authentication tools are aimed at them. And people who have been sent a shortened link, a QR code or an email that feels wrong, and want to find out what it actually is before clicking it.
It started as a security header scanner built for my own use. An hour into writing it I realised that a tool which fetches any URL a stranger types is also a machine for attacking your own internal network - a classic SSRF vulnerability - and that the defence was more interesting than the scanner.
That set the tone for the rest of it. Each tool exists because I wanted an answer that existing tools gave in jargon, or gave only after a signup. The SSRF protection was later extracted and published separately as an open-source Python module.
Static HTML, CSS and vanilla JavaScript on the front end, with no framework and no build step. The server-side checks are Python using only the standard library, with no third-party dependencies. Served by Apache behind Cloudflare.
