  • Firefox+ublock>brave
You could use ungoogled chromium or iridium browser, browsers less knowledged (they don't need youtubers to be adversited), and works good, plus ungoogled chromium is literally chrome without google, and iridium is brave but without all their crypto bullshit and lies. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Just wanted to share the video about why Firefox is important for open web and why you should use Firefox based browser instead of Chromium.
You mean like Iron, Epic, or Iridium? Privacy focused chromium has been around almost as long as chromium has. Source: over 1 year ago
  • I accidentally seem to have started a browser war... anyways
Anyone have any feedback about the iridium browser? Seems kinda similar to Brave but without the crypto nonsense. Haven't really tried it yet though. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Hey Guys Which Browser do you use and mention the distro and Why
Iridium Browser doesn't use much ram and it is the fastest browser I've used by far. They also claim to have some privacy stuff but I can't test that. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Being open-source doesn't mean shit if you don't respect the open-source philosophy
As an honourable mention, Iridium browser. I see this mentioned more in privacy focused subreddits, so I cannot speak for it at all myself, but it can be worth looking into if you're strictly after a chromium based browser. Source: about 2 years ago
  • How to get rid of this annoying white bar? I appeared when I dropped something on my keyboard and I can't get rid of it
Iridium Browser, Falkon and Otter browser are also Chromium based, decent and Ungoogled. Source: about 2 years ago
  • What is the difference between chrome and chromium?
Iridium is a Chromium fork that has a lot of Google cruft removed - it increases privacy and speed. Only downside is manual updating. Source: over 2 years ago
  • What's the most lightweight browser you know?
The fastest chromium browser is Iridium with the uBlock Origin extension installed. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Is the Brave web browser safe for privacy
There is Iridium browser and Librewolf. For now Brave and Librewolf discuss the first place. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Windows 11 Officially Shuts Down Firefox’s Default Browser Workaround
Iridium, which iirc features an auto update feature on Windows. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Long time Firefox user, why I'm fed up and finally moving to Vivaldi.
Have anyone heard about Iridium Browser? https://iridiumbrowser.de/ It appears to be something like ungoogled chromium. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Looking for Chromium based browser but simple like Librewolf

  • I'm leaving Firefox, and this is the browser I picked...

  • What is the best "Login Only" Browser?
The Wikipedia bot ain't wrong but here's what you're looking for: https://iridiumbrowser.de. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Firefox Containers vs. Brave Cross Site cookies
Brave is a mediocre privacy browser. If you really need a Chromium-based browser, try UG or Iridium. For Firefox, you can always harden the base browser, but Librewolf is generally better for privacy if you don't need the Pocket/Mozilla bloat. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Your Privacy Matters. Reclaim It!
Firefox with a custom userChrome.css file can be very customizable (I'm using one which makes it blend in nicer with my desktop theme). Firefox isn't the pinnacle of reliability, I admit, but it's the only thing we have to go against the Chromium monopoly. Here are a few suggestions for Firefox and Chromium-based browsers, perhaps you find one better than Vivaldi: * Firefox+arkenfox * GNU IceCat * Librewolf *... Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Your Privacy Matters. Reclaim It!
I agree, and if you feel like Firefox/FOSS-Chromium-based browsers (i.e. Firefox+arkenfox, GNU IceCat, Librewolf, Waterfox, Pale Moon, Brave, Iridium, Ungoogled Chromium) don't offer you what you need (which is quite mind-boggling to me but whatever), Vivaldi is still better than the rest. But it definitely is a step down, so I'll continue listing it in my post :). Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Every time I wake my computer from sleep I see these in my pihole
You could try Iridium which is a stripped out version of chromium. Has none of the goog garbage. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Migrate Calander
If you're looking to switch away from Google's Chrome, the most common recommendations are Firefox, Brave, and Iridium. Source: about 3 years ago
  • hello !! i need help !!
I recommend something else like Bittube or Iridium https://bittube.app/browser/ or https://iridiumbrowser.de/. Source: about 3 years ago
