You can see both addresses here. https://ipv6-test.com/ Likely your ISP has IPv6 and your old router wasn't capable or setup for it. The new one has it enabled by default, and web browsers prefer it over 4, so basic IP address pages show it first. Source: 5 months ago
IPv6 works perfectly well on the router, and my LAN devices can ping each other via their prefix-delegated addresses, but I can't reach the www via IPv6 (according to ipv6-test.com and ping6). Source: 9 months ago
For other sites, Edge is clearly using my IPv6 client address. https://ipv6-test.com and https://ipv6.google.com work fine, for example. And I can confirm in logs on my external site that I'm hitting my site with the client's temp IPv6 address. Source: 10 months ago
Since updating to 23.1 after my firewall does it's weekly reboot, I need to disable any one of my internal vlan interfaces on opnsense and re-enable to make IPv6 work. My WAN always gets it's ipv6 ip but something about the routing to the internal interfaces doesn't work. IPv6 works from the firewall to external works but my desktop and servers can't send/receive any ipv6 traffic. I've tried stopping/starting... Source: 12 months ago
I ran a test on https://ipv6-test.com that showed both IPv4 and IPv6 were not supported initially. After I connected my android tablet to my hotspot to test it as well it showed IPv4 was not supported, but IPv6 was. Then I ran the test again on my computer and it showed the same results of IPv4 not working, but IPv6 is, instead of both not working initially. Source: 12 months ago
The main website is in 64:ff9b::/96 space though, so it won't work on an IPv6-only connection without NAT64. I'd rather use https://ipv6-test.com/ or https://ds.test-ipv6.com/. Source: 12 months ago
Running ipv6-test.com on my wired and wireless clients (PCs) shows 20/20. On my Pixel 6 Pro, it sometimes scores 20/20. It gets gets very inconsistent results everytime I refresh the page. Not sure if it's just not a good test to run on an android device. Everytime I get a difference result. Sometimes IPv6 passes, but IPv4 claims not supported. Sometimes the other way around. Sometimes DNS6 + IPv6 fails,... Source: about 1 year ago
However, a lot of sites, such as Instagram, Google, and https://ipv6-test.com are very slow to load initially. That feels like DNS, right? Source: about 1 year ago
I just switched back to my old ISP after a bad experience for several months with another one and I need to re-enable IPV6, which the interim ISP didn't support. I never really paid attention to the IPV6 settings when I was with my original ISP before so I don't know if it was all working correctly back then. I've got everything working from my LAN (I can ping IPV6 address and reach IPV6 sites from any host on the... Source: about 1 year ago
I need to get ipv6 enable over wifi for my phone for normal functioning. If my phone is not connected to ipv6 enabled network I get slow down online activity for some app and normal for others. ( well this is a separate issue and I am not bothered by it that much). My main question and understanding is that ipv6 is something that if ISP and router is providing should just work straight away. But in my case my... Source: about 1 year ago
Https://ipv6-test.com/ my connection with comcast has no ipv6 hostname (reverse DNS). Everyone else have same issue with home internet? Source: about 1 year ago
IPv6 test - IPv6/4 connectivity and speed test (ipv6-test.com). Source: about 1 year ago
To your point about ipv6-test.com. This software testing program does not test end-to-end Reachability, even though it says it does (see SLAAC on their web screen). It can't. All web pages traffic through one or more enterprise servers, which obviously breaks the 1-to-1 architecture of end-point to end point connectivity. Presumably, enterprises have IPv6 connectivity, but they may not. My area of concern and... Source: about 1 year ago
On your phone go to https://ipv6-test.com while the phone is not connected to wifi. Source: about 1 year ago
Here's my settings for Comcast. All devices have IPv6, usually scores 17/20 or 19/20 on ipv6-test.com (depending on if I feel like messing around with ICMP or not, Windows seems to turn it off by default after a while). Maybe give these a shot? Source: about 1 year ago
Hi, I'm testing NPTv6 with ULA internally. When I go to https://ipv6-test.com/ in a Chromium-based browser (Chrome, Edge, etc.) IPv6 is getting preferred. When browsing the internet with IPvFoo, Google, Youtube and Netflix definitely load over IPv6. It doesn't matter if the OS is Windows, Linux or Android, IPv6 is always preferred. No, it does not hinder IPv6 communication at all. I get 19 out of 20 point in this test: https://ipv6-test.com. Source: about 1 year ago
I used powershell, IPV6 is working for WiFi, Blue Tooth, Ethernet 2, Secureline. Still no IPV6 connectivity or DNS for https://ipv6-test.com/. Source: about 1 year ago
On Gentoo, getent ahosts ipv6-test.com returns the response immediately. Source: about 1 year ago
But I cannot reach any IPv6 servers, and ipv6-test.com is also showing no IPv6 connection. Source: about 1 year ago
I tested the internet connectivity by going to ipv6-test.com, which shows that I can't connect over IPv4. I can also connect to Google properties (GMail, etc.) which I know support IPv6 (I used to work on Google networking) but not to most other websites (e.g. att.com) because they only have IPv4 addresses. I thin that the IPv4 issue also explains the MMS trouble as there's probably no IPv6 address for the MMS... Source: about 1 year ago
