ImageTrace is a reverse image search and image monitoring tool for photographers, agencies, publishers, and image archives. It finds where your photos are being used online and gives you the evidence to act on unauthorized use.
Upload a photo and ImageTrace scans public web pages, marketplaces, blogs, and social sources for copies, including cropped, resized, and lightly edited versions. For every match you get:
These are bundled into a ready-to-send PDF evidence report with an editable demand letter in English or Dutch.
You stay in control. Unlike commission-based enforcement services, ImageTrace never takes a percentage of what you recover. You pay a flat fee from EUR 5 per scan, with no required subscription, and keep 100% of any settlement or licence fee. For each match you decide whether to invoice, request a takedown, escalate to your own legal partner, or ignore it. ImageTrace provides the evidence; the decision stays with you.
Beyond one-off scans, you can place images under continuous monitoring so new matches surface automatically, and track each case from first match to resolution.
ImageTrace is EU-hosted, GDPR-focused, and built in Rotterdam by Volantis. Start with one free scan, no card required.

Photographers first: freelance editorial, news, event, portrait, and commercial photographers who want to find and act on unauthorized use of their work. Also creative and media agencies, publishers, stock and licensing teams, and image archives that need to monitor and protect larger bodies of visual content.
ImageTrace doesn't just find copies of your photos; it hands you the proof to act on them. Every match comes with a full evidence package (source URL, full-page screenshot, first-seen date, and an independently timestamped Internet Archive capture), bundled into a ready-to-send PDF with an editable demand letter. And unlike commission-based services, it never takes a cut of what you recover: one flat fee from EUR 5 per scan, and you keep 100%.
Free reverse image tools can find a copy but give you no evidence or workflow. Commission-based enforcement services do the chasing but take a large share of whatever you recover. ImageTrace gives you both the find and the evidence while keeping you in control: you decide whether to invoice, request a takedown, escalate, or ignore each match, you pay a flat fee from EUR 5 per scan with no required subscription, and you keep 100% of any settlement. EU-hosted and GDPR-focused.
ImageTrace is built by Volantis, a small independent software studio in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, founded in 2021. We kept seeing photographers find their work reused without permission and then hit a wall: free tools only confirmed the copy, and enforcement services wanted a large cut of any payout. We believe finding your own stolen work shouldn't cost you a percentage of the recovery. So we built ImageTrace to do the finding and the evidence-gathering, and to leave the decision (and 100% of the result) with the photographer.
A modern, EU-hosted web stack; the image-matching pipeline is proprietary.
ImageTrace.nl appears to be a niche online tool/service focused on image vectorization and tracing, offering a convenient way to convert raster images into scalable vector formats without needing to install desktop design software.
