Most brainstorming tools ask you to explain what you want. That's the part you can't do yet — if you could describe the idea clearly, you wouldn't need help finishing it.

IdeaStew works the other way round. You type the half-formed version, and it deals single words, one at a time, from deliberately not-obvious directions. You react on instinct: keep what fits, spark what pulls at you without you knowing why, drop the rest. It takes about a second per word. Sparks are the important verb — the next round of words chases them, and every round says which spark it's following. Reacting turns out to be far easier than articulating, and the idea assembles itself out of what you reacted to.
