https://icepanel.io/ The best I've ever used. - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
I use UML quite a bit but it's never really what I'm after, somnething more modern and fluid and gui driven that more people can use. Icepanel [1] looks really cool but I haven't tested it and I'm not sure it really fits my use case. It seems like it's mostly for api driven rpc/grpc/rest services when I kind of want to use it to visualize backend/infra/terraform sort of things. Might be interesting to you. 1. We started using https://icepanel.io/ for microservices, Software, anything thats documentable for later read. 2. More diagrams, less key strokes 3. We have dedicated page owners on confluence, its mix of engineers, leaders, PM's, QA etc. - Source: Hacker News / 9 months ago

I really like the C4 model as part of a larger toolset. If you’re also using it then I recommend looking at https://icepanel.io/ Great tooling strongly based on C4, I use it a lot. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago

At IcePanel, we’ve been talking with our customers for months about adding a level 0 and learning about what problems it could solve. We landed on a design we think made sense and shipped it as part of our version 42.0 release. - Source: dev.to / about 2 years ago

Models help even with agile.Check out IcePanel: "System design for your whole team, with sec with reality" ref/ https://c4model.com , https://icepanel.io. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
For a visual tool I'd recommend giving IcePanel [0] a try. For the diagrams as code solution, happily it looks like mermaid will soon support C4 [1] so their should be native support in lots of places soon (github, gitlab and lots more have built in support for mermaid) [0] https://icepanel.io/ [1] https://mermaid-js.github.io/mermaid/#/c4c. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
Diagrams as code is an excellent idea and I think works really nice for a lot of teams. However, there still space me teams, my team included that simply don't want to learn yet another markup syntax and want something that's more accessible to an entire team, not just developers. This is where IcePanel and Carbide excel. Source: over 2 years ago
