I installed ffmpeg-libs and other codecs from Fedora wiki. Nothing changes. Videos are same vp9 in browsers. I spent all day googling but nothing helpful. Source: almost 2 years ago

Having a problem with playing 4k and (or) HDR content on Netflix for a weeks, Basically all that use HEVC codec. They simply stopped loading and see error screen. My test for this was very simple: open https://html5test.com/ and compare to the latest stable Safari release. The Webkit clients I could get working on my machine all lacked features Safari reportedly support, leading to a lower score than Safari. I don't know what's missing exactly, but there's clearly a distinction between the two, even if the core functionality is the same. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago

To test to make sure the libffmpeg.so you got is working, start Opera and goto https://html5test.com/. Make sure h.264 is listed as supported under the Video section. Make sure AAC is listed as supported under the Audio section. Make sure they're both supported on the video and audio codec sections in the Streaming section. Source: almost 3 years ago
