  I agree, this place is definitely more than a little bit scammy. It also depends on area as well I guess. When I was looking for place to stay, I mainly relied on housing.com and the local advertisements on boards. Worked for me.   The last few times I have moved, I have used Facebook groups but I feel now lesser people are on it or its mostly brokers or PG owners.
