  • I’ve spent the last 10 months finishing my basement mostly by my self. Finally at the stage where I can say it’s “finished”.
Reviews. I found homeadvisor.com worked well. Guys I picked had like 40 glowing reviews going back 10 years. Source: about 1 year ago
  • Home remodeling in Vancouver
Homeadvisor.com will let you describe the work you want to do and then contractors will respond. I've had decent luck with this for the smaller, specific jobs. Just be prepared, they often start calling you IMMEDIATELY, so don't submit the request unless you're prepared to spend the next 30 minutes or so talking to the contracting companies. • Companies that can help remodel a small half bathroom?
Porch.com, homeadvisor.com, and sites like that may help. I agree with the earlier comment on using a handyman vs a larger firm. It's interesting at times to see how small things you might not anticipate can surface when you do even small jobs at home. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How To Get a Contractor That's Actually Reliable?
First I tried going on homeadvisor.com to find a contractor and came away with nothing that looks good. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • [Rapoport] The #Buccaneers and Vita Vea have agreed to terms on a 4 year extension worth over $73 million. Deal negotiated by Collin Roberts of @rep1sports
Costs about $5k to build an average brick wall per homeadvisor.com so I think it's safe to say the Bucs overpaid by about $72,995,000. Source: over 2 years ago
  • End of season follow up to gutter cleaning business (I'm the guy who sold $650 in gutters in a weekend without knowing how to clean gutters)
Consider using homeadvisor.com, it is free to list your business with them and they take a small percentage from any leads that come through them. I ran a small pool maintenance business and other than my website I only advertised with them. Got a lot of business through it. Good luck and keep up the good work! Source: over 2 years ago
  • Qmerit Scam?
Has anyone had experience yet with Qmerit? I have gotten two quotes from their installers, one for $2500 and one for $3000. My garage is attached to the house, next room over from the breaker box. With the promo from Chevy, they only cover $1200 of it. This seems like the installers are padding estimates. I checked on homeadvisor.com and they have the average cost coming in around $750, why are estimates from... Source: over 2 years ago
  • Asbestos ceiling, help!
Your only safe move is to contact a contractor who specializes in removal of asbestos. Depending upon where you live, they can be difficult to find and you may need to resort to using angi.com or homeadvisor.com. Source: over 2 years ago
  • [landlord US-CA] hiring a handyman vs property manager
For the OP looking for sources - skip facebook and especially craigslist. Try Angie's List (whatever the new name is), ask landlords in your area (there are various ways to find virtual or in person groups in your area), maybe get quotes via homeadvisor.com or a similar website, even get quotes via Lowes or HomeDepot for a project or two (you will pay more for that one project, but can find a contractor that you... • [landlord US-CA] hiring a handyman vs property manager
I use http://homeadvisor.com/ for most things. once I find one I like, I like to keep them and give them incentive to continue building the relationship. but sometimes handymen get busy and you need a second option. Source: about 3 years ago
