We had a small wedding on a short timeline also. We did electronic (and free) save the dates to 95% of the guests using greenvelope.com. For the technologically-challenged guests, we printed out an image of the save the date from the website and mailed it. We also took a screenshot in case we needed to text it to some people. I'm not sure of any that do both the same, but a lot of companies have similar design templates or the ability to upload your own. I used Greenvelope for my e-invites and loved their more luxurious looking animated envelope opening. And if you're only sending to 20 people it's free. More than that and you need to pay. They track rsvps as well. Source: about 5 years ago
