If what you were saying were true, i.e. That Canadian news will still be indexed on Google and will only disappear on news.google.com - then why are members of the Liberal government accusing big tech of planning to block Canadian news links? Are you saying that those government officials are spreading misinformation? Source: 10 months ago
They aren't threatening, they actually did it. news.google.ca now redirects to news.google.com with news links about Canada from foreign news outlets like BBC and the Economist. Source: 10 months ago
To some extent, I do. It's just always been a thing I do to refresh news.google.com and some other sites. It's weird, but to some extent it can be a distraction for a short while. Source: 10 months ago

I opened news.google.com and Firefox for Android appended "xn--com-9353b" to the end of the URL. Did that happened with anyone? I couldn't find anything relevant in Google and now I'm worried about this being a malicious behavior. :(. Source: 12 months ago

It's important to remember who/ what wrote the article. I use https://news.google.com to keep everything relevant and that really helps me recognize organizations and authors. By heavily using the "do/ don't show me more posts like this" button along with the "For You" page, it's easily become my favorite way find news. It's a very useful tool to have. But it's really weird to act like I've gone out of my way to know any of this. If you look at news.google.com and read the headlines once a day for a week, you'll know all of this. That's all the effort it takes - reading headlines 1 or 2 times a week. Source: about 1 year ago
