Https://google.com/hotels Is what I'm assuming they're talking about? Also https://google.com/flights I use flights all the time. I think mostly because I've not found any of the intermediaries all that good. Google flights provides links to multiple places to buy. Usually I click the link directly to the airline. I've looked at hotels but rarely use it. Hotel websites, unless they're a major chain, are often... - Source: Hacker News / 2 months ago

  • Cheapest flight possible
Don't just look for round trip tickets. You can look for one way each, and sometimes that helps drive down the cost. Also, use like google.com/flights. That usually gives some cheap options as well. Keep in mind that when you fly airlines like Allegiant, Frontier and the like, you will have to pay for bags (including carry ons) and that can drive the prices up to what you would have paid on an American/Delta. ... OP, a better choice might be to search through google.com/flights, and keep in mind that if you want to make a booking or to check prices, right now it's best to ONLY do so directly with the AIRLINE, not through a travel agent. Booking directly with the airline will almost guaranteed give you the best cancellation/change/refund options. Source: about 2 years ago

Word of warning, if you are using google.com/flights, do not use it frequently to search the same flights, it will change the flight prices as you search more and more so then you are inclined to jump on it before it 'goes' up. • Nonstop flights to/from San Diego
I used the Google Flight search (google.com/flights) to find the San Diego flights. Put in one-way, from/to and a dummy date to get to the flight listing, then change stops to non-stop (and airilne to Southwest, if desired). You can then either advance the date until you find flights or use the Price Graph to quickly find flights (Southwest flights never have a price, but it should say either "There are no... The Google search bar makes it easy to search for flights and compare prices on different dates and airports near your location. Although Google Flights is a great Skyscanner alternative, it is limited to flights only and does not offer other services such as hotels and travel packages.
17 Best Skyscanner Alternatives Sites
It almost feels like cheating, but Google has access to pretty much all the best flight deals from all the best travel sites. That means you can save time and money in one fell swoop when you type your desired flight parameters into the search bar or hit up Google Flights directly. Let’s be honest, it’s probably what you were going to do in the first place.

Skyscanner is probably my second favorite place to find deals. They will have the deals being shown with the airlines, but Skyscanner will show the deals from the OTAs. To get a great idea of where to find the best flights, going to Google flights can light up your world.
Third Party Airfare Booking Sites: The Power Rankings - who to trust, who to avoid
Some of my favorite sites you may have seen me bring up time and time again over the years, such as Google Flights or Kayak are not third party booking sites. They are what are known as meta-search sites, which means they search multiple third party booking sites, and then send you to one of them, and that third party site is in control of your booking.
