  First I tried with gmail but they have removed the allow less secure apps thing and in order to use the smtp you have to turn on 2fa and use their api which I'm not gonna do. So I tried using different mail providers like mail.com gmx.com inbox.lv fastmail.com But every time I try to send a mail I connect to the server but get authentication failed exception.   So I know to send books to your kindle you need to go into your Amazon account under devices and Kindle and add your email to the "Safe Senders" list. Even then, Amazon will ask you to approve the send via email (annoying). I made a gmx.com email account (free) to use for sending books via email.   On that I have mailbox.org, mailfence.com, gmx.com and an ancient yandex.com address. FairEmail handles them all. GMail stuff as well if anybody still has to hold onto one for a little while longer. I like the ones I have. What little is left of GMail is forwarded to one of those addresses to catch anything that I missed and is still attached to an old email account. I figure another 6 months and I'll delete those...   I've been using gmx.com as my mail address for automated scripts. This is because it's easy to sign up for addresses and they don't ask too many questions. I use these for sending myself alerts on things like servers rebooting and websites being unreachable.
