A $5 payout costs more in fees than it's worth. A large share of the people on the other end don't have a bank account you could send to anyway. And the ones who do often don't want a bank transfer.
So platforms end up building it themselves: four gift card suppliers, a rewards vendor, a wallet API. Every one with its own catalog format, its own quirks, its own way of breaking at the worst possible time. Then someone has to reconcile it all at month end.
One integration. 5,000+ gift cards, payment cards, subscriptions and more, across 100+ countries. The person getting paid chooses what they want.
We handle everything around it too: delivery emails, FX, the redemption flow, reporting. Not just the API call.

Two things. The first is that we run a gift card business ourselves, so the supplier relationships, the catalog quirks and the redemption behaviour are things we deal with daily. Most payout platforms are a layer on top of resellers. The second is the network. Brands issue with us once and appear as a payout option across every platform we serve, which means the catalog gets better for everyone as it grows rather than staying static.
Because of where your recipients are. If they're scattered across emerging markets receiving small amounts, that's the case we're built for. We also handle delivery, FX, redemption and reconciliation rather than just the payout call, and we run a gift card business ourselves, so we sit closer to the supply than a reseller does.
Platforms that pay a lot of people small amounts across many countries. Micro-task and crowdwork sites, marketplaces paying sellers and freelancers, data labeling operations, survey panels, reward and referral programmes, affiliate networks, gaming. The other half of the audience is anyone who needs a catalog rather than a payout: loyalty programmes, cashback apps and wallets that want somewhere for their users to spend a balance.
We built it for ourselves. Running a B2C gift card business meant integrating a dozen suppliers, each with its own API, catalog format and failure modes. GIFQ started as the internal layer that made that manageable. Platforms we worked with asked if they could use it to pay their own users and have us handle delivery, FX and redemption too. That turned out to be the bigger business.
