GaugeDB started from a simple idea: public Steam data is useful, but it is scattered and often hard to compare. We built an independent New Zealand-based project that brings player counts, prices, sales, releases and recorded changes together, while clearly showing the limits and freshness of each data point.
GaugeDB is built with Next.js, React and TypeScript, runs on Bun, and stores collected data in PostgreSQL through Drizzle ORM. The interface uses Tailwind CSS and Base UI/shadcn components, with background collectors integrating Steam plus streaming data from Twitch, Kick and YouTube.
