FLIK is a professional home for storytellers โ filmmakers, actors, screenwriters, directors, theatre-makers, composers, and crew.
The creative industries have always run on access, not just talent โ and that access has been scattered across a dozen platforms that were never built for creatives. Many of them charge you simply to be listed or seen, while answering to investors rather than artists. FLIK is different: free to join, built by a working artist, and designed around one belief โ talent has never been the problem. Access is.
FLIK brings a whole creative career into one place:
Discover & connect โ find collaborators near you or anywhere in the world through a map of your industry, with a verified community where every member is real (no spam, no bots). Opportunities & jobs โ post and find paid work, gigs, and roles, and manage all your applications in one place. Funding board โ build your project, add your team, and instantly surface the grants and funds you qualify for based on who's involved, with deadlines. Hours of research, done for you. Creative residencies โ book creative space like you'd book a holiday: choose your dates and length, and see who else will be there and what they're working on. Marketplace โ rent gear, swap skills, and trade favours on your own terms. Studio โ run your projects end to end: team, files, schedule, and calls in one workspace, plus a visual canvas to plan and arrange your ideas. Community feed โ share your work, get feedback from real people, and see what other storytellers are creating.
Since the pandemic, the industry has never been more mobile or more connected โ an actor can film a self-tape for a global production from anywhere. Yet the space for that scattered, worldwide creative community didn't exist. FLIK is building it: one home where you can find your people, your work, and your funding, wherever you are.
Free to join, on web and iPhone. Built for the independent creative.
A startup from the United Kingdom that is founded by Sylvie, Vanja.

FLIK is the only professional platform that brings a whole creative career into one home. Instead of juggling separate tools for finding collaborators, applying for jobs, discovering funding, booking residencies, and running projects, FLIK combines all of it in one verified community built specifically for storytellers. Its standout feature is the funding board, which surfaces the grants and funds your project qualifies for based on your team, turning hours of research into a curated list. FLIK isn't a single tool, it's a complete creative ecosystem, built by a working artist for working artists.
Most platforms in this space make you pay just to be listed or seen, and many are owned by investment firms whose priority isn't the artist. FLIK is free to join and built around a simple belief: talent has never been the problem, access is. Rather than renting you visibility, FLIK gives you the whole toolkit, collaborators, jobs, funding, residencies, a marketplace, and a real community, in one place, with every member verified so you're connecting with genuine industry people, not spam or bots. It's a home, not a toll booth. It's a place that lets you create on your own terms, instead of buying lottery tickets to be visible on big platforms in the hope of a win. The future of filmmaking is writing and telling your own stories, and with today's technological advances, that's easier than ever. We believe AI is part of that future, and we intend to integrate it into the workflow, empowering independent artists to create work on small budgets, on their own terms, with a vibrant community of collaborators and creatives around the world.
FLIK is built for storytellers across film, theatre, and TV, filmmakers, actors, screenwriters, directors, theatre-makers, composers, and crew, at every stage of their careers, from students and recent graduates to working professionals. It especially serves creatives who feel scattered across too many platforms, who've lost their network after graduating or moving cities, and who want a professional home where they can find their people, their work, and their funding in one place, no matter where in the world they are. It's a global community. Since the pandemic, the industry has shifted drastically. Actors no longer need to live in Paris to audition for a Netflix show, they can be on Ibiza, filming a self-tape in their studio. The industry has never been more mobile or more connected, and yet the space for it online doesn't exist. Everyone is scattered across platforms, paying for nothing. The people who need FLIK are the artists who take matters into their own hands, the independent creatives who are always working, hustling, making. Because the big break only ever comes to those who've been working independently for years before anyone "discovered" them.
On my 27th birthday, I was deep in two scripts, working on them for months, travelling across Europe, annoying everyone who'd listen with drafts and rewrites nobody cared about as much as I did. If you create and write stories, you know that feeling. Around then, I kept thinking about an actor who walked away from the UK industry because she realised she was trapped in a service industry, one where you, the creative, are both the product and the one paying for the service. Always: update your headshots. Join this casting platform, โฌ400 a year (where winning the lottery seems more likely than booking a job). One more workshop. Always one payment away from a door that never quite opens. So I went looking for somewhere better, and found a black hole. Scattered forums, Facebook groups, platforms that weren't built for this. I'd trained at some of the best performing arts schools in the world, Oxford School of Drama and the RCS, and built an incredible network of talented people, friends from California, Australia, Chile, Canada, Paris, me from Switzerland. After graduation, we all dispersed, and kept in touch through Facebook group chats and Instagram follows. There was no vibrant space that was actually ours. And Facebook just doesn't cut it. So I woke up that birthday thinking: somebody needs to fix this. I'm going to build a home for storytellers, so people who graduate can keep their network alive, find their first gig, find their crew, their audience, their feedback loop. I taught myself to code, built prototype after prototype, and then found Vanja Nenadovic, my co-founder and developer, who took it further than I could alone. FLIK is a professional home for storytellers. The belief underneath it is simple: talent has never been the problem. Access is. And it's time that changed.

FLIK is available as a native mobile app and a web app, built with Flutter for the frontend (enabling a single, consistent experience across iOS, Android, and web) and Go (Golang) for the backend. This modern, high-performance stack lets a lean team ship quickly across every platform while keeping the app fast and reliable.
I don't have verified, reliable information about FLIK (fliknetwork.com) to confidently assess its quality, legitimacy, or performance. There are multiple companies and services that use the name 'FLIK' (including a well-known compass/dining and facilities services company), so it's unclear which specific service fliknetwork.com refers to without more context. I'd recommend independently verifying through official reviews, BBB ratings, user testimonials, and checking domain registration details before trusting this service.
