There are a slew of iot buttons but who knows how hard they are to press. Check https://flic.io/. Source: 11 months ago
The solution is in the form of a programmable button stuck to the bottom of a shot glass. The programmable button is made by Flic, and I set it up to send my phone a text that simply says "morning pills taken". Source: 12 months ago
Otherwise, https://flic.io/ might be an option if matter support actually works out (not sure how much support is there for it)? But if it does, I suspect other things will follow (flic isn't cheap last I recall). Source: about 1 year ago
You could try a Flic, pretty versatile little gadget really. Flic. Source: about 1 year ago
I think https://flic.io is right up your alley. Source: about 1 year ago
Forgot to mention that you can buy almost whatever switch you want, including Bluetooth switches. https://flic.io/. Source: about 1 year ago
And for reference, my dream is to setup some IoT buttons (like these) in the kitchen, fridge, pantry, etc. And then map their inputs to commonly consumed items or meals. Pull it out of the fridge, press the button (or combination of buttons) and bam, auto-logged. Of course I could go back in and adjust as I want (hence the desire for a great webapp) but the idea is catch the input in the moment. Source: about 1 year ago
So, forget WiFi, go for a battery powered button like Flic 2. Source: about 1 year ago
Looks like OP is referring to this https://flic.io/. Source: about 1 year ago
FLIC buttons are great to trigger HomeKit anything. You can set 1 button to have 3 actions (single click, double click, long hold). https://flic.io/ Also in general, you can set up any automation as a scripted shortcut to work multiple ways, for example- click button during X timeframe does A, click button during Y timeframe time does B. If you don't want extra hardware, then the only options are WiFi and Bluetooth. Both needs the sender to follow a complex protocol and the receiver to have special server/driver app. There are various smartphone / tablet based solutions out there but there isn't many choice if you want physical button. You may take a look at this: https://flic.io. Source: over 1 year ago
I've got Flics. Each button can be programmed to run three different things (one press, two press, three press). I've got one by my bed to run my good morning/night routines. Source: over 1 year ago
For reliability I would consider a flic 2 system. Not cheap, but very stable and reliable. https://flic.io/. Source: over 1 year ago
I think flic works with Google Home? They have committed to working with Matter, though, so if they don't yet, they should soon... Source: over 1 year ago
I think you can run Flic's without their hub as long as you phone is in the house, and they are Europe based. Source: over 1 year ago
As for a non-arcade button solution, I actually prototyped my smart home integration stuff using a Flic button (https://flic.io/). You can program them to adjust lights and play sound effects really easily if you're interested. They can also send http requests, so they're hugely expandable if you have a computer that can listen for them. Source: over 1 year ago
Something like this could work: https://flic.io/shop/flic-2-single-pack ? Source: over 1 year ago
Ah, that's rough on the range. I was going to suggest flic with the hub connected to your phone in your car via wireless and triggering Tasker or Automate to start cooling with the button on your keychain but realistically that would be ~150 ft. Source: over 1 year ago
Good news - last week I set up my Flic starter kit with an IR blaster. The blaster also let me program it so just one button click not only turns on the fan, but starts the oscillation as well. Source: over 1 year ago
I use a Flic button myself :) Works great: https://flic.io/. Source: almost 2 years ago
8” tablet, windshield mount, running Gaia. Using Flic 2 button to swap screens between car scanner, Gaia, and video. Source: almost 2 years ago
