I sure hope you're right, but if you go to finviz.com and scroll to the bottom, you'll see the insider transactions. It looks like about three dozen more or less, and with one exception, a purchase of 11,940 shares for $5,009, all of the insiders have been selling, including Diane. Those sales total millions of shares for millions of dollars. Source: about 3 years ago

FinViz emerges as a notable player within the investing and finance domain, distinguished by a strong suite of tools aimed at stock research and market analysis. Its offerings are primarily targeted towards investors and traders, with a focus on the U.S. markets. This platform is particularly recognized for its robust set of features, including stock screeners, news feeds, portfolio management, and stock chart capabilities. In this analysis, we'll delve into the public sentiment and perception surrounding FinViz based on its mentions and reviews on various forums and articles.
A recurring theme in user feedback highlights FinViz as an accessible and user-friendly platform that caters to both novice and experienced investors. Beginners particularly appreciate the platform's easy-to-navigate interface and the accuracy of its automated trend line analyses, which provides invaluable support in identifying chart patterns when users may not be adept at spotting them manually. Moreover, the finviz.com interface with its appreciated density provides a comprehensive overview that many users find beneficial.
Another point frequently mentioned is the freemium model employed by FinViz, which offers a range of features at no cost. Users laud the ability to utilize stock screeners and access various analytical tools without financial commitment, making it an attractive starting point for individuals new to trading.
Despite the free access, there is vocal criticism surrounding the rigid boundaries placed on FinViz's free offerings. More advanced features, such as intricate drawing tools and sophisticated technical indicators, necessitate a paid subscription to FinViz Elite. The sentiment here suggests a shift from what was once an excellent free service to a model where significant value is placed behind a paywall, potentially limiting the full scope of FinVizโs capabilities for those unwilling to commit financially. Critics suggest that the free version, while useful, may not live up to its past reputation due to these limitations.
In comparison to competitors like TradingView, Gurufocus, and others, FinViz is frequently noted for the breadth of its screening metrics and news data streams, which many users find satisfactory for creating initial stock analysis frameworks. However, users advise that while FinViz provides a solid base, integrating tools from other platforms such as TradingView could enhance the analytical depth and comparison.
Furthermore, FinViz figures prominently as a reliable source for insider transactions and short interest data, strengthening its position as a vital tool in investor research arsenals. There is significant mention of its use in due diligence processes, highlighting its role in pre-trading decision-making activities.
In summary, FinViz holds a strong position as a comprehensive yet accessible tool widely acknowledged for its utility in stock screening and market analysis. While it offers a commendable range of free features that cater to the needs of beginners, the transition to paid services for more advanced tools has stirred some discontent. Nonetheless, its reputation as a valuable component of an investorโs toolkit remains intact, especially given its ease of use and the relevant market data it provides. As users weigh FinViz against its competitors, it continues to emerge as a favored choice for both its extensive data offerings and user-friendly interface, despite some limitations in its free service scope.
