  After finding that out, I reverted to a backup and Minecraft version where I knew his base existed prior to the update but his region was still reset. This isn't the first time I've had trouble with his base when updating the server but the issue resolved itself in the past after a simple revert. After doing some digging, I discovered the region file (r.-11.0.mca) that his base was once in is either corrupted or... Source: about 3 years ago
