This runs every 30 minutes, automatically bookmarking articles matching your interests. It's similar to the AI filtering feature that Feedly offers in Pro+ ($12.99/month), achieved here with MCP + /loop. RSS didn't die, though. Feedly picked up 8 million new users in the weeks after Reader shut down. Inoreader, Miniflux, FreshRSS, NewsBlur, and dozens of others filled the gap. Feedly alone now has over 15 million registered users. - Source: dev.to / 5 months ago
Feedly is the most popular RSS reader with over 14 million registered users. Its AI assistant "Leo" can prioritize, summarize, and deduplicate articles based on your interests. Feedly Https://feedly.com/ One of the most popular RSS readers. Available on web, iOS, and Android. Easy to use and great for organizing feeds into folders. The free plan is more than enough for most developers. - Source: dev.to / 6 months ago
Implement automated tracking: Set up alerts for pricing changes, feature updates, and new content launches. While you can track competitors manually using Google Alerts and Feedly, tools like TrackSimple eliminate the 12 hours/week time drain by monitoring competitor websites, social media, and review sites automatically. - Source: dev.to / 8 months ago
Feedly [0] (web app and on IOS) has been amazing since Google Reader died. On IOS it makes flipping through items and saving them for later a smooth and relatively fast experience. [0] https://feedly.com. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
With the introduction of my blogroll, my morning routine has changed without me having planned it. By displaying the latest blogger posts there by fetsching them while the site is build once a day, I start reading there instead of in my standard feed reader feedly. I no longer subscribe to the 40 blogs currently on my list, but use Read You as a blogroll reader in case I miss something. - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
Some people enjoy sharing their knowledge on technical areas, blogs remain accessible and effective media. > Google Reader was painful to lose at the time. But how many RSS feeds do you now follow? I've been a happy Feedly[1] user for many years since that dark day, and appear to be currently pulling nearly 70 feeds. [1]: https://feedly.com. - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
A way to group all these blogs in one place is to use a RSS reader. I use Feedly to read all my RSS feeds. If you want to get the OPML that I use to view these blogs, you can get it here. - Source: dev.to / about 3 years ago
What's wrong with Feedly (https://feedly.com/)? I've been using it since Reader shut down and havent noticed much of a difference. - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
I happen to use feedly[1] as RSS feed reader since almost years now but haven't looked at it since a long time. Today, I found that the "popularity metrics" it usually showed around each link has disappeared. TBH that metric was about the only reason I used that app for. Being a coder, I can build a feed reader myself for the domains I've curated but this popularity metric was the USP. Have they stopped it... - Source: Hacker News / about 3 years ago
I apologize for the non-floaty post, but this is important meta. If this post and this post are telling the truth, Reddit is going to make the Reddit API prohibitively expensive to use. Elon Musk Twitter is not a good role model. This will kill Infinity for Reddit and probably sabotage Feedly, ending the ways me and several thousand other Redditors get to Reddit. This means that it won't be easy to get these feeds in your feedreader (as far as I know they won't allow to modify headers and, for example, the excellent Feedly does not use this trick). - Source: dev.to / almost 4 years ago

Feedly, a widely recognized name in the realm of RSS readers, consistently receives praise for its user-friendly design and powerful content aggregation capabilities. Since the discontinuation of Google Reader, Feedly has established itself as a prominent player, providing a fitting alternative for users seeking to manage their content consumption effectively.
Feedly is frequently noted for its intuitive interface, which enhances the overall user experience. It allows users to subscribe to various RSS feeds, categorize them into collections, and leverage a magazine-style layout that facilitates easy navigation and prioritization of content. These features help streamline information consumption, making Feedly an attractive option for users keen on maintaining a well-organized digital reading routine.
The platform offers both free and pro plans. The free version suffices for casual users, permitting subscriptions to up to 100 sources and including capabilities such as watching YouTube videos and sorting feeds into topical categories. More advanced features, suited to professional needs such as content curation, keyword alerts, and note-taking, are available in the pro plan, which costs $5 per month. Users note that if you rely on related tools like Evernote or require advanced organizational functionalities, the pro plan is considered a worthy investment.
Feedly's main competitors include Inoreader, NewsBlur, and Tiny Tiny RSS. Among these, Inoreader is often highlighted for slightly better YouTube synchronization. Despite this, Feedly continues to be favored for its overall simplicity and aesthetic layout. Some users mention an aversion to the โbusyโ feel of Feedly's design, likening it to an inbox rather than a relaxing reading space. These perceptions are subjective and vary among users who prioritize different aspects of digital content management.
Among the strengths, Feedly's design and accessibility are top-rated, with many users appreciating the mobile app's compatibility with both Android and iOS, which ensures seamless access to feeds on-the-go. Additionally, Feedly's integration with tools like Google Alerts to receive keyword notifications directly is also a distinguishing feature that augments its utility for users requiring timely information updates.
A noted area for improvement involves its integration and support for YouTube syncing in comparison to specific alternatives. Furthermore, some criticisms touch on the removal of certain features over time, such as popularity metrics for URLs, which some users found valuable.
As the digital landscape continues to evolve, Feedly remains a strong contender in the field of RSS readers. It is widely regarded as a reliable and competent tool for aggregating RSS feeds, fulfilling the needs of users who require both a simple setup and robust features to manage their content efficiently.
Despite emerging free alternatives and changing user expectations, Feedly's consistent updates and solid customer service maintain its position as a preferred choice. This makes Feedly one of the most popular and recommended platforms for individuals seeking to streamline their internet experience through RSS feeds. Users contemplating a switch from their current RSS solutions often consider Feedly due to its recognizable brand and extensive feature set.
