Https://every-door.app is my favorite for light-weight POI editing. You can blast through an entire shopping mall very quickly. - Source: Hacker News / 29 days ago
Great app. There is also https://every-door.app/ that gives you slightly different set of tasks and allows you to place POI easily. I recently mapped a lot of trash cans and benches around my neighborhood while walking with my dog. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago
iOS has Every Door[1] and thereโs also MapComplete[2] which works as a PWA. [1]: https://every-door.app. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago
Everydoor's UI is also quite nice for this. It even lets you enter in the orientation quite easily https://every-door.app/. - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
If you just want to add POI data, then Every Door is a good choice that also works on iOS CoMaps would be a good map app, and it will also display when POIs and opening hours were last confirmed (the only OSM app to do so AFAIK) https://every-door.app. - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
This map of Flock cameras[0] is pretty neat. It actually utilizes OpenStreetMap data. It was controversial but at some point in the last decade OSM decided to allow annotating surveillance cameras. You can add all sorts of characteristics including what they're mounted to and which direction they're facing. As well as the manufacturer which is what that map is based on. Mentioning it just in case, but openstreetmap.org's web editor (iD) is a good start on Desktop. There's also EveryDoor [1] which is very nice to edit OSM and they do seem to have an iOS version. Depending on what you want to edit, it can be very handy. I have not tried the numerous other, more advanced options [2]. Best (simplest) options for contribution are: - StreetComplete - gamification of adding missing properties for existing objects. Consider it as most basic and limited - https://every-door.app/ - the best option to update and add amenities (shops, restaurants, etc) on the go. - iD browser editor available at https://www.openstreetmap.org/ - you will need at least this complexity to add objects with geometry... - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago
No iOS version as the other comment mentioned, but if you want to contribute, try Every Door ( https://every-door.app/ ) for now. It doesn't have points and badges like Street Complete, but you can easily add/update/fix amenities, update addresses, add info about buildings, and fill in the same data using the "micromapping mode". I started with Street Complete, but now use this for most things. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
StreetComplete is fabulous, and another surveying app worth mentioning is Every Door [0] which is specifically focused on updating business and other POI details. [0] https://every-door.app/. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago

If anyone is looking for easy ways to contribute to OSM I highly recommend StreetComplete (which is a gamified quests to answer questions about your local area) and Every Door (which makes it very easy to add/update info about shops or other points of interest (POI) near you. https://every-door.app/ https://streetcomplete.app/. - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago
Go Map!! Can do everything, as mentioned by Kevin graph, but https://every-door.app/ is also very cool and very useful for small, quick edits of POIs. - Source: Hacker News / over 3 years ago
FYI - there is a separate map editor called Every Door available for both Android and Iphone. Every Door is very simple, fast and easy to use to add Points of Interest to OpenStreetMap. You do need to provide your OpenStreetMap account login and password to everydoor in order to upload your Point of Interest (POI). Suggest you try this out as it will make life a lot easier when contribution Points... Source: over 3 years ago
When I photomapped I used osmtracker + JOSM. I would now advise against photo-mapping as it just adds a lengthy edit session at home. Been there and have done that. There is a new app called every door that makes it easy to add / update given POIs on the spot so you don't have to go through the hassle after the fact. That being said I think there are Augmented reality apps that do live translations or OCR on... Source: over 3 years ago
