Another possibility for Anyfund could be to allocate its funds exclusively for charitable purposes. Maybe we could have 100% eco-friendly Anytype merch? Imagine the fascination of observing community-driven charitable endeavors and sustainable initiatives, reflecting our commitment to a nurturing & open future. This could be inspired by the "noble" apps, of which I've personally used Ecosia, where the act of using... Source: 11 months ago
- Ecosia - A search engine that uses 80% of its profits from ad revenue to support tree-planting projects. They publish their finances on a monthly basis - https://blog.ecosia.org/ecosia-financial-reports-tree-planting-receipts/. Source: about 1 year ago
I literally just copy and pasted this information, but I for one am excited about Earth Day; I look forward to it every year. Also, since we're on this topic, ecosia.org is a search engine that plants trees with the ad revenue they generate (they're a carbon negative company!). Source: about 1 year ago
If you go to ecosia.org or qwant.com on any mobile browser (Safari, Chrome, etc.,.) and search for ghandi you also get no results. Its only when the search query ends in ghandi, for example "ghanid date of birth" returns results fine. Source: about 1 year ago
DDG was caught allowing Microsoft/Bing trackers through a deal with Microsoft, use Startpage or Ecosia instead. Source: about 1 year ago
In the first page of ecosia.org that you get the first time you use it (and then weirdly you never see again unless you use incognito), the "add this to chrome/firefox" button takes you directly to the add-on installation rather than a page with the easy instruction on how to make this the default search engine and maybe have ecosia.org as default opening page. But I checked the report and our ads show on Bing, MSN, outlook, tamilyogi.love and ecosia.org. Source: about 1 year ago

Ecosia has a good tree planting shop at https://plant.ecosia.org/, though, from what I can tell, it's not tagged. They cost 3 USD per tree, and Ecosia is pretty reputable so you can know that it is going to be spent well. Team Trees is still running, at 1 USD per tree, but I'm not sure how reputable it is, and it also does less than Ecosia. Source: over 1 year ago
If I wanna search something in ecosia for example, I would go to ecosia.org. Source: over 1 year ago
Or use https://ecosia.org/, which is not just private but also helps the environment! Source: over 1 year ago
It does, at least for the links that show content like msn.com, bing.com, search.yahoo.com, and ecosia.org. Other links like search.kiwibrowser.org are functional but have no content, or are down like mobile-search.me. Strangely, Kiwi redirects m.trovi.com to Google, which is subject to adblocking. Tell them that google is not the only search engine, they should try, for example, ecosia.org, duckduckgo.com, search.brave.com. Source: over 1 year ago
If you want to plant trees too, use http://ecosia.org to do some or all of your internet searching. Source: over 1 year ago
A few past Uplifting stories mention that, how a lot of conservation goals are well in reach. Mostly though you have to search around. One prominent one is the ecosia.org website. It's a search engine but it's also a conservation website that can help lead you to other ones. But the biggest thing that most tell you is that, we're not as bad off as we think we are. Yes, the future is going to be harder for our... Source: almost 2 years ago
Must be on the App, because I've just opened ecosia.org in my Android browser (Firefox) and same options than on desktop. Source: almost 2 years ago
Using ecosia.org since 2019, but when the dark theme? It will also save some impact in OLED screens, maybe not a big battery saver, but still better than the white background. Source: almost 2 years ago
Search engine is set to Ecosia on safari (no clue why it still says "add to safari" on this page) This is ecosia.org btw. Source: almost 2 years ago
ULPT: go to ecosia.org and search for different meat companies, click on their ads everyday, you will waste their money by giving it to ecosia who will use 80% of it to plant trees. Source: almost 2 years ago
And if you are an US citizen look up/Google (or better yet, other better search engines like ecosia.org) the words "DAFT treaty", for a relatively easy/easier way to emigrate to the Netherlands. Source: almost 2 years ago
Ok, so if you search Rabbi Arush cult on ecosia.org this thread comes up. Not showing up on google. Kind of afraid he might hunt me down like Berland did to those two innocent Israelis, as my comment is a threat to his money. Source: about 2 years ago
