Draeft draws to-scale 2D floor plans for tented and indoor events. Instead of dragging generic rectangles around, you set a tent's dimensions and configuration and Draeft generates the structure procedurally โ frame, pole, or sailcloth, with sidewall placement, bay configuration, and stake-vs-weight anchoring specified per leg. Import a photo, site map, blueprint, or satellite view as a background and build directly on top of it, so indoor venues and bare lots get the same precision. Everything in the plan is to true scale: round, rectangular, square, serpentine, and oval tables, chairs, sofas, bars, stages, and modular dance floors, plus the operational layer most tools skip โ marked exits and egress paths, fire extinguishers, forced-air heaters with duct and propane-hose runs, power drops, distro boxes, and generators. Draw a Zone and Draeft auto-fills it with seating and counts the seats for you. One plan serves every audience. Work in a colour view that makes the full event legible, then hand the venue a clean overview, the fire marshal a layer with exits and extinguishers marked, and the caterer a zoomed-in view of their corner โ all from one file, by toggling what's visible. Plans save to your own device, not to an account, so nothing is locked behind a login and your work stays yours.

Price and access, first. Draeft is free and requires no account โ you open it and start drawing. The category standard is a demo request, a sales call, and $99+/month. Pro is $20/month when you need unwatermarked and PDF exports to send to clients. Beyond cost, three things: plans save to your own device rather than our servers, so there's no lock-in and nothing to lose if we disappear. One plan serves every audience โ you work in a colour view, then hand the venue a clean overview, the fire marshal a layer with exits marked, and the caterer just their corner, all by toggling visibility on one file. And the tent engine is built by people who know the trade, so it understands bay configuration and per-leg anchoring rather than treating every structure as a box.
Anyone that needs to visually communicate the layout of an event. Tent and party rental companies are the core audience โ the people quoting, laying out, and installing structures for weddings, corporate events, and private parties. Around them: event planners and producers, caterers, venue managers, and wedding planners who need a to-scale layout they can hand to a client or an inspector. It also works for anyone planning a single event โ a backyard wedding, an estate party โ since there's no account or subscription required to draw a complete plan.
Draeft is a client-side React application. The canvas is rendered with Konva (via react-konva), which handles the to-scale geometry, hit detection, and layering. It's written in TypeScript, built with Vite, and tested with Vitest. PDF export is generated in-browser with jsPDF. The whole thing is served as static assets from Cloudflare Workers. The architecture is the privacy model: there is no application server and no database. All plan data lives in the browser and saves to the user's own device as a .draeft file. Nothing is uploaded, so there's no account to create and no plan of yours sitting on our infrastructure.
Draeft started because while working for a tent rental company that every floor plan was either drawn in PowerPoint or locked inside expensive software mediocre software that was inaccessible to all but the specialists, and even then I was building many floor plans in paint as it was simply faster. So I built the tool I wanted: one that knows what a bay is, where the stakes go, and that a fire marshal needs a different view than a caterer does, and does all that quickly and intuitively without being bogged down by advanced 3d or cloud features.
