I use the free version of Doxy for video sessions. Itโs PHIPA compliant, has a virtual waiting room, and your link only needs to be sent once and clients can access it any time. Source: over 3 years ago
It's a web site, Doxy. I've been researching this and others have had similar issues with Telegram, Duo and Whatsapp video calls. Source: over 3 years ago
Check out Doxy, as it's built for exactly this purpose. Have been using it for my own sessions for over a year now and it has worked fine. Source: over 4 years ago

Hi all - Just wondering if anybody else has noticed more connection/quality issues with SimplePractice's telehealth platform lately. Most recently I've had issues with clipped audio that lasted all day over several appointments and had to move the audio portion of the sessions to over the phone (client and I both muting our video and using our cell phones). In the recent past I've also had other issues with audio... Source: almost 5 years ago
Not sure what PP uses but I have had telehealth appointments that have used Skype and Zoom both of which are free apps, and I have one coming up using doxy.me, a website that will be free for you to use. Source: almost 5 years ago
You're going to want to speak with your cloud EHR and ask them what you're going to need to have a secure connection to them. If it's wholly cloud based you may not need a VPN to access the data since they'd be required to have the data encrypted at rest and during transmission, but that's best case scenario. As far as telehealth sessions doxy.me is one . Source: about 5 years ago

I like ETSY's business model. TDOC might be expensive for some people, and outlook is questionable. I heard providers would rather use doxy.me over teledoc. But it is promising and Cathy Wood is gung ho on that. Source: about 5 years ago
Oh. It did. I have an extremely educated clientele, and the looks on their faces when I told them my platform name..! I started referring to it as "the unfortunately named doxy.me". Source: about 5 years ago
Also, the work of practice building is not negligible. I got my first pp patient kind of precipitously and unexpectedly, and this occasioned my running around with my hair on metaphorical fire to generate my own intake forms and to do an emergency run out to a Staples to buy a locking file cabinet and a clipboard. I did things like put up a website, get a dba name, get a business bank account, etc. After I was... Source: over 5 years ago
I have a laptop running Windows 10. When I am in my web-based video chat client (doxy.me, if it matters), after about twenty minutes, the built-in microphone stops working; refreshing the page helps to correct it. When I'm on a Bluetooth headset, the laptop doesn't pick up input from the BT headset when I set it, though I hear the output. I've updated my sound drivers. Any other ideas? Source: over 5 years ago
I've had zero problems using Edge for video calls with Zoom and Google Meet. I just had a telehealth call and the doctors' office uses doxy.me for this. And Edge failed. Source: over 5 years ago
โข A lot of my patients are pretty tech savvy, and some of them have really started leveraging the affordances of the platform we're using (doxy.me), such as sharing documents and urls, with me, and screensharing. I did an incredible session with a young adult with ADHD who was having enormous problems dealing with something that had to do with executive function and his email, where he screenshared his email...
