    Sure. I personally prefer other Whois providers over ICANN (there are lots of Whois providers, including GoDaddy). I use domaintools.com because they show more data and I like the way they lay it out, including a visual country flag for the website host location. So looking up amazon.com in domaintools.com, I come up with (all three good signs):. Source: over 4 years ago
  • This is the 4th time Iโ€™ve received a text this week from โ€œAT&Tโ€ and each time itโ€™s said something about paying my bill.
    You can look up the domain registration information for any domain name by doing whatโ€™s called a Whois search. Many sites offer free Whois searches, but one of the more common sites to use is lookup.icann.org (I use domaintools.com) - GoDaddy has it, too. Source: over 4 years ago

  • Harasser registered racist domain names using my contact info ~6 years ago, my info still comes up on WHOIS historical lookups in conjunction with the domain names
    Now, these domains are long since expired and no longer are available in the official ICANN lookup but the issue is that the registrant info is still archived on sites like https://whois-history.whoisxmlapi.com/, domaintools.com and probably many more. The info can be found by reverse lookup using (my name/address/phone number) or the domain names they registered. This is obviously really bad because if you... Source: about 5 years ago
