4. What's the story behind DocBoss?

   DocBoss was founded by someone who spent over ten years working with a major distributor of process equipment supplying the oil and gas industry. Seeing firsthand that no purpose-built application existed to help suppliers manage the increasingly complex, customized documentation requirements imposed by EPCs and end users, he built one. That origin is why DocBoss addresses the supplier-side workflow so specifically; it was designed by someone who lived the problem before building the solution.

5. Which are the primary technologies used for building DocBoss?

   DocBoss is entirely web-based. There is nothing to download, install, or maintain; all you need is a web browser to log in and get started. All users are named users, meaning every login, change, and addition is tracked and attributed to a specific individual. You always know who made a change to a document, when they made it, and what was changed, eliminating the ambiguity that comes with shared spreadsheets or generic file storage.

While managing inside sales for an instrumentation supplier, founder Brad Bowyer noticed that hours of time (which meant oodles of money) were being wasted on clerical work.
