Dingpin is a free Android app that lets you long-press any notification and pin it to the top of your list, where it stays until you unpin it. Built for the notifications that actually matter โ one-time passwords, delivery and ride updates, work messages โ so they stop getting buried under notification spam.
It's a fork of the open-source Pinnit project (Apache-2.0), rebranded and focused on the "keep what matters visible" workflow. A companion site (dingpin.app) explains how Android notifications work and how to never lose the important ones.

Dingpin focuses on a single workflow: pinning any notification to the top of your Android shade with a long-press. It combines that with a fully on-device, no-account approach and a searchable notification history, which is rare among notification manager apps.
It's free, requires no sign-up, and never uploads your notifications to the cloud. Most alternatives either need an account, sync data to their servers, or show ads. Dingpin keeps everything local while still offering pinning and history recovery.
Android users who frequently miss important notifications โ especially OTPs, delivery updates, ride alerts, and work messages โ because they get buried under less important app alerts.
Dingpin started after missing a one-time password that got buried in the notification shade and locked me out of a banking app. I wanted a simple, free, privacy-respecting way to keep important notifications visible. It's built as a fork of the open-source Pinnit project (Apache-2.0).
Flutter, Dart, Riverpod, sqflite, and flutterlocalnotifications. The app is open-source under Apache-2.0.
Dingpin is a consumer app for individual Android users. It doesn't have enterprise customers โ it's used by people who want a simple way to stop missing important notifications on their phones.

If you'd rather not write the UI, ranking, and history-search yourself, the polished version I use is at dingpin.app โ free, no account, local-only. I'm still torn on whether optional cloud sync is worth the privacy cost later; if you've thought about that trade-off, I'd genuinely like to hear which way you'd go. - Source: dev.to / 6 days ago
