If you're a EDM fan like me you probably know the super traditional website Digitally Imported. - Source: dev.to / over 2 years ago
  • Is di.fm down?
Listening since forever - premium for 4-5 years, because 'if I have to throw money at anyone, it should be di.fm'. You guys are saving me from the plague of coworkers chatting, on a daily basis :). Source: about 3 years ago
  • Is di.fm down?
Thank you sir! I've been listening to di.fm (Digitally imported back then) since 2004!! This has never happened and I can confirm that! Thank you di.fm for being my college/work background music for decades! Source: about 3 years ago
  • Is di.fm down?
It looks like di.fm is likely hosted at that DC. Their IP traces to a New York area Unitas location. Unitas owns INAP so it all correlates. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Station recommendations?
I've been a long-time listener to the ambient station at di.fm. The new subscription prices are a little too steep for me. I'm aware of somafm as an alternative. But any recommendations of similar channels or ambient stations in general? Source: about 3 years ago
  • Why are you obsessed by Boards of Canada?
I think they were the first band I discovered via streaming. They were all over di.fm back in the day, when that was my go-to for ambient music to listen to while working on coding assignments in college while blazed out of my gourd. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Discussion on Google's new music generative AI
You selected genres that are on the noisy side, so there is less risk of the AI choosing something that sounds obviously "wrong." Still, this is also the kind of stuff that if it came up in the middle of a di.fm or other radio-like stream, people probably wouldn't notice it was AI generated. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Why there's no option for couples or families like Premium Duo?
I've been a listener of di.fm for years and frankly, I'm ok with paying premium to get my daily dose of music back. What really annoys me though is that there's no option for couples or families besides paying double. Most often we listen to music together, so paying double feels like a ripoff. Meanwhile, this offputs me a lot from upgrading to Premium. Would be nice if you would take this into account. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Zaterdagse Wat Luister Je draad: Welke podcasts, radioshows, of muziek heb je (recent) geluisterd? Wat is jouw mening over recente afleveringen of muziek? Heb je nog aanraders?
Afwisselend Digitally Imported (di.fm) of Techno.fm. Source: about 3 years ago
  • What do you listen to while coding
I flip through a lot of genres on di.fm, so happy that place has stuck around and expanded in the era of spotify. I like to pick a genre to match the mood, and don't want to pick specific songs/artists beyond that. They've been doing it for bloody ever. Source: about 3 years ago
  • Techno
You can always check out di.fm as it has a lot of different electronic styles and you can learn your preference(s). Hope this helps. Source: about 3 years ago
  • House music on Oahu?
Personally, I love most electronic music styles (mostly progressive/techno) but it's not something I hear very often outside my home or car. I usually listen to di.fm or a Dutch radio channel like Slam The Boom Room, for example. Source: about 3 years ago
  • What is the purpose of Live?
I use di.fm for that and all their various other stations. Source: over 3 years ago
  • DI.FM is no longer free?
I expect nothing at all. I don't see how restricting channels NOW, with everything settled and established will stimulate a huge spike in growth, but as I've already said, I simply did a 2 minute google search and found plenty of channels to replace it. No ill will toward di.fm, they can do what they see fit, definitely. Source: over 3 years ago
  • Progressive, dreamy podcasts/mixes/weekly shows?
Of the suggestions, "Deep Progressive Trance" channel on di.fm is a good match for my taste. Source: over 3 years ago
  • Best sources to keep up to date with new UK (or other country) Hardcore?
If you're looking for new tracks to add to the library, you can always use di.fm to get all sorts of different tracks from throughout the different eras of UK Happy Hardcore. Source: over 3 years ago
  • Subscriber
I only subscribe for the talk shows and comedy anymore. Music on SiriusXM is shit. Go look at https://di.fm/ for a better music experience. Source: over 3 years ago
  • do you know some good radios / web radios techno based ?
I subscribe to di.fm when I get tired of Spotify. They have good selection of genres and quality dj mixes. Source: over 3 years ago
  • PLEX @ NVIDIA Shield TV Pro - what are the benefits and (maybe) best practices you can share?
I never used PLEX before, but AFAIK it can be handy in organizing home media. I have a collection of MP3 and videos, which I mainly download manually (i.e., I don't use Netflix or Spotify) and I also listen to DI.FM online radio. Source: over 3 years ago
  • PS2 - Top Wishes for 1H23
Digitally Imported radio app for Android Automotive. Or, as a consolation prize, wireless android auto. Source: over 3 years ago
