Dimension Door Games teams up with Ennie-nominated dddice (dddice.com). We will be integrating Project Rift with their dice rolling platform. What this means in effect is that out of the gate, our dice rolling platform will work with any of their 15+ integrations, including Roll20, Foundry, D&DBeyond, and so on. Source: 9 months ago
If he's using an online dice roller, then it must be a multiplayer one. For example https://dddice.com - where you create a room, and he can join. There are even things like "advantage", "plus something" etc. For it, and it also looks nice. No need for anything more complicated like roll20, tabletopsimulator etc. Source: 10 months ago
We're incredibly excited to announce that dddice is now available using TaleSpire Symbiotes. Source: 10 months ago
I think, with the FATE Core and the DDDice site it might not even cost anything. You could use their dice customizer to make your own dice. Source: 10 months ago
If you dont like the default dice roller, have you looked at the other dice rollers that are available as extensions (see https://extensions.owlbear.rodeo/)? Currently there are three other dice rollers including dddice (https://dddice.com/). I'm old school and we still roll physical dice in person and trust to the honour system. Source: 11 months ago
We'll be playing weekly using discord for voice and https://dddice.com/ for shared rolls. Source: 11 months ago
Anyway; all this is to say, people will play what they enjoy for the reasons they enjoy it. I wish all new VTTs only the best, but I also heed caution that I think there are extremely strong contenders in this space already and efforts might be better spent building tools to help in other areas of TTRPG like character creation or (shameless plug) 3D digital dice. I've been building dddice (pronounced three-d-dice, 3D dice) for a number of months now that allows you to roll custom 3D dice with your party live! We also have an editor where you can create your own custom dice for whatever purpose you want - we just hit over 4,300 custom themes and I thought it was a good reason to celebrate and show off some of our favorites.
