I’m Asian forties also with years of problem acne around the chin area, I used curology.com for their customized acne formula prescribed with their online RN, and now my skin is totally clear. I’m not sure if this forum allows for recommendations, but you can check out their website, there’s lots of before after pics, my customized formula (Trentonin, azaliac acid, chylimatic acid), you take your pictures and... I recommend checking out curology.com , they'll help you out tremendously. Source: 11 months ago
If you want to take all the guesswork out of it, Curology is a great introduction to skincare and it's fairly budget friendly. They'll send you a cleanser, treatment, and moisturizer. All you need to add is an SPF. Source: about 1 year ago
For the most effective yet simple routine, I would say use sunscreen in the am (whatever sunscreen you like), and use Curology in the PM, with a cheap moisturizer on top. Source: over 1 year ago
Curology is a great because if you want those fancy extras (niacinamide, trexanamic acid, azelaic acid etc) you can get them added to your multitasking tretinoin formula. As for sunscreens, the best thing you can do is shop Asian sunscreens like the Skin 1004 Centella SPF or Beauty of Joseon or Skin Aqua Super Moisture Milks. Source: over 1 year ago
For a serious routine, check out Curology. They will prescribe you an effective system. Source: over 1 year ago
To be clear I don’t work for this company, just a happy customer. I started using Curology ~5 years ago, you have a remote dermatologist who will create a custom formula for based on what’s ingredients (and amount) will be the most effective. It’s easier & cheaper than seeing a dermatologist traditionally if you don’t have the cash or the time. But for the level of repair you may need to do still worth considering... I've never used Apostrophe but Curology and Agency are a couple good ones to check out. Source: over 1 year ago
Hi!! So the tretinoin I used was prescribed to me by a provider on curology after a consultation with them, so I unfortunately don't have a link to the specific tret they use because they make you your own custom formula. I'll still link you the website in case you want to try them out! The first month is free :)) https://curology.com/. Source: almost 2 years ago
Special Stuff is treatments. For simplicity and effectiveness, you want no more than 2 special items in a single routine. My concerns are different (zits, hyperpigmentation, radiance), but research shows that my products may work for you. In the mornings, I use Fenty Skin's Toner and Tuel's Vitamin C serum. At night, I use a prescription mix of tretinoin, azelaic acid, and niacinamide from Curology*. Source: almost 2 years ago
I bet she would benefit from clindamycin, but you need a a prescription for that. But Curology is like $20 a month, I used to get clinda from there. Source: almost 2 years ago
Preventative botox, tretinoin, and laser (if you want to remove the scar). Great subs are r/tretinoin and r/SkincareAddiction. You can get tret at curology.com in US and felixforyou.ca in Canada as it is prescription-only in both countries. Tret is going to be WAY more effective than anything you get at the store. Best of luck!! Source: almost 2 years ago
I would highly suggest starting off with curology. They can start you off on a super low tret prescription and you can work your way up to 0.025%. Once you get to 0.025, stick with it as it will give you the same results as 0.05% and 0.1%. This will reduce the potential of adverse side affects. Source: about 2 years ago
I recommend this to you strongly. ( http://curology.com/ ). Source: over 2 years ago
I use Curology for my prescription, get the large size bottle that lasts me almost 3 months and pay $19.95 with free shipping. Generally you can find "first month free" or $5 type deals, that's how I started. I've been adjusting my prescription but have settled on:. Source: over 2 years ago
Curology has a super reasonable deal right now. I think it's $5 for your first month, then you can get a 1 month bottle of the treatment for like $25 or a 2 month supply for around $60. I like the way their custom formula feels too. It dried quickly. https://curology.com. Source: over 2 years ago

You can talk to your dermatologist, or you can try Curology or a similar site that will prescribe tretinoin, which is the drug name for Retin-A (in other words, Retin-A is one brand of tretinoin). Source: almost 3 years ago
You don't need to spend all that money for La Mer there's plenty of nice products under $50 out there. Best thing you can spend your money on is Tretinoin you need a prescription from a derm or if in US can check out curology.com and ask for tretinoin which can help soften lines and wrinkles and make the skin behave like younger skin.
