I want to install ubuntu 20.04 LTS to my HDD, but when I boot into the USB live image to install it, a minute later, it reboots (just like in Arch). I know I have to modify the live USB using CUBIC (which I did) but I couldn't get my custom systemd service to run at boot, to disable the service. I'm not familiar with disk imaging tools, but https://launchpad.net/cubic allows you to create your own custom Ubuntu derivative (that you can then install to as many computers as you want). It may not work for your needs but I thought I'd at least mention it. Source: over 2 years ago
