CrewTrackr is a web and mobile app that helps general contractors manage subcontractor compliance, payroll, and permits in one place โ replacing the spreadsheets, email threads, and text messages most GC offices currently juggle to keep a job site running.
Each contractor gets an organization workspace with two kinds of users: owners (the GC/office staff), who see every subcontractor, project, and payroll record across their org, and subs, who see only their own compliance record. Owners track certificates of insurance, licenses, and W-9s for every subcontractor and get alerted before documents expire rather than after; subs upload their own paperwork directly through a self-service portal, cutting out the back-and-forth of chasing people down for files. Alongside compliance, owners track project addresses, open permits and their due dates, and log weekly payroll by project and subcontractor, marking weeks submitted as they go.
A startup from Seguin, the United States that is founded by Matt Brown.
Subcontractor compliance tracking
logs each subcontractor's certificate of insurance, license, and W-9 status, with an alerts view that flags documents overdue or expiring soon
Subcontractor self-service document upload
subs log into their own portal and upload their own COI/license/W-9 files directly, instead of the office chasing paperwork.
Project, permit, and payroll tracking
owners manage project addresses and open permits with due dates and log/mark-submitted weekly payroll by project and subcontractor
General contractors (the "owner"/office-staff role) who manage multiple subcontractors across active job sites, and their subcontractors (the "sub" role, who get a stripped-down view limited to their own compliance record). It's built for small-to-mid GC shops still running this on spreadsheets and text messages
It bundles three things GCs normally track in separate spreadsheets/email threads into one multi-tenant tool โ subcontractor compliance (COI, license, W-9 expiry tracking with alerts), weekly payroll logging by project/sub, and permit tracking by project โ plus a self-service portal where subs upload their own documents instead of the office chasing them down.
It exists to replace juggling spreadsheets, email threads, and text messages for tracking sub compliance/payroll/permits. It's explicitly architected multi-tenant from day one "even if you only have one org right now," anticipating the first real customer rather than reacting to one.
