Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing YTShorts.ai and Codegres.org.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

YTShorts.ai's answer

Content creators and YouTubers who need a steady supply of shorts, podcasters and interview/webinar hosts repurposing long recordings, marketing teams and agencies scaling short-form output without adding editing headcount, and stream clippers turning long streams into highlight clips.

What makes your product unique?

YTShorts.ai's answer

YTShorts.ai combines four steps that are usually separate tools into one automated pipeline: it finds the most engaging moments in a long video using AI analysis of the transcript and audio (not just fixed-length chunks), reframes them into 9:16 vertical with AI-driven crop and pan rather than a static center-crop, ranks every clip by predicted viral potential so creators know which one to post first, and adds word-by-word accurate captions plus a natural AI voiceover automatically. It's also priced well below comparable tools like Opus Clip, with a genuinely usable free tier rather than a locked demo.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

YTShorts.ai's answer

YTShorts.ai offers comparable clip quality to established tools like Opus Clip at a fraction of the price -- Free tier included, Pro from $7.99/month. The viral-potential ranking means creators don't have to guess which clip to post first, and captions plus voiceover are generated in the same workflow instead of needing separate tools. It's built and actively maintained by a solo, hands-on founder who responds directly to user feedback.

What's the story behind your product?

YTShorts.ai's answer

YTShorts.ai was built solo by founder Bhawika Kaushik, based in India, after seeing how much manual work it took to turn a long podcast, interview, or webinar into a week's worth of short-form clips -- hours of scrubbing through footage, cropping to vertical, and captioning by hand, or paying Opus Clip-level prices to skip it. YTShorts.ai automates that process end to end: paste a link or upload a file, and the AI finds the moments worth posting, reframes them, ranks them, and adds captions and voiceover -- all in minutes.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

YTShorts.ai's answer

A Python/FastAPI backend serving a Next.js/React frontend, with yt-dlp for video ingestion and ffmpeg for video processing. GPU-heavy work -- rendering, transcription, and text-to-speech -- runs on Modal's serverless GPU infrastructure rather than the main app server. SQLite handles auth and media-ownership data, and Razorpay handles subscription billing and checkout.
