  • Cross-Platform Support
CommitCat is designed to work across multiple operating systems, allowing developers on different platforms to use the same familiar tool for their version control needs.

CommitCat is designed to be a lightweight Git client that doesn't consume excessive system resources, making it suitable for developers who prefer a lean, fast tool over feature-heavy alternatives.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Feature Set
Compared to more established Git clients like GitKraken, Sourcetree, or Fork, CommitCat may lack advanced features such as built-in merge conflict resolution tools, advanced branch visualization, or deep integration with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Small Community and Ecosystem
As a lesser-known tool, CommitCat has a smaller user community, which means fewer tutorials, community-driven plugins, and peer support compared to mainstream Git clients.
  • Limited Visibility and Traction
CommitCat appears to have limited online presence and user reviews, making it difficult for potential users to assess its reliability, maturity, and long-term viability before adopting it.
  • Uncertain Development Activity
It is unclear how actively CommitCat is being maintained and developed. A tool with infrequent updates may fall behind in compatibility with newer Git features or operating system updates.
  • Lack of Enterprise Features
CommitCat may not offer enterprise-grade features such as team collaboration tools, access control integrations, or support for large-scale repository management that organizations often require.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Working Days Calc and CommitCat.

What makes your product unique?

Working Days Calc's answer

Most business day calculators are built for one country. WorkingDaysCalc.com covers 100+ countries using a live public holidays database, so the result changes based on where you are. Five separate calculators handle the most common tasks: counting days between two dates, adding or subtracting business days, calculating a notice period end date, and finding a deadline. No signup, no account, no download.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Working Days Calc's answer

The main alternatives are either US-only, buried inside a larger tool, or so cluttered with ads that finding the result takes longer than counting by hand. WorkingDaysCalc pulls live public holiday data for each country rather than using a hardcoded list that goes stale. The five calculators cover the specific tasks people search for rather than forcing one generic tool to do everything.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Working Days Calc's answer

HR teams checking notice periods and last working days. Payroll teams confirming payment dates. Legal teams counting court or contract deadlines. Project managers working out delivery windows and milestones. The site gets traffic from the US, UK, Australia, South Africa, and Canada, which reflects where business day calculations come up most in employment law and contract work.

What's the story behind your product?

Working Days Calc's answer

I got a notice period calculation wrong. Counted four weeks forward, told someone their last working day, then spotted a public holiday sitting in that range. Wrong date. In employment and legal contexts, that error has real cost. I looked for a tool that handled multiple countries with accurate holiday data and found nothing that did it cleanly. So I built five calculators that do exactly that and launched the site in June 2026.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Working Days Calc's answer

WordPress with the Astra theme handles the site structure. Rank Math manages SEO. WPCode handles custom schema and JavaScript snippets. LiteSpeed Cache runs on Hostinger shared hosting. The calculator logic is vanilla JavaScript. Country dropdowns use TomSelect. Public holiday data comes from the Nager.Date API, which covers 100+ countries and requires no API key.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Working Days Calc's answer

WorkingDaysCalc is a free public tool with no accounts or paid plans, so there are no named customers to list. It gets used by HR professionals, payroll teams, legal staff, and project managers across the US, UK, Australia, South Africa, and Canada.
