How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

linkring's answer:

People who want one page for their work, side projects and whatever they are up to next, and who would rather pay a small amount than have that page carry ads or someone else's logo. It also suits anyone who lost a page when a service like Bento closed and wants the next one to be theirs to keep.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

linkring's answer:

TypeScript throughout. The product at linkring.co is SvelteKit on Cloudflare Workers, with Postgres behind it. Published pages are static HTML files in Cloudflare R2, served by a small Hono worker on linkring.to. Payments go through Stripe.

What makes your product unique?

linkring's answer:

A published page is a static HTML file, and the renderer holds it to a budget before writing it: under 10 KB, at most 134 elements, no script tags, no third-party requests, and every link a plain anchor. It works with JavaScript off. The other half is what happens when you stop paying: the page stays up with no time limit, your custom domain keeps resolving, and only the editor goes read-only.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

linkring's answer:

Two reasons, depending on what you care about. For the people tapping your link: on 18 September 2026, on a throttled slow 4G phone, linkring's house page transferred 8 KB in 2 requests, while five of nine other link-in-bio pages transferred more than a megabyte (method at linkring.co/docs/measured). For you: one plan at US$5 a month or US$50 a year with your own domain included, no ads or branding on your page, an export of the JSON and the static files, and a page that stays up if you lapse.

What's the story behind your product?

linkring's answer:

I kept watching link-in-bio services close under the people using them: Koji in January 2024, Shopify's Linkpop in July 2025, Bento in February 2026. When I measured what these pages cost to load, most shipped far more than a list of links needs. linkring is the one I wanted for myself: a small file on my own domain, paid for, that stays up. I build and run it alone, as SimpleSyrup Inc. in Ottawa.
