Features and specs

What each product offers, as listed by its team.

WordPress.com 5 features
Bizzly 13 features
  • Ease of Use
WordPress.com provides a user-friendly interface that is easy for beginners to navigate. It offers pre-installed themes and plugins, making it simple to get started with a minimal learning curve.
  • Maintenance-Free
The platform handles all the technicalities such as updates, backups, and security, allowing users to focus solely on creating content.
  • Cost-Effective
There are free plans available, and even the paid plans are relatively affordable. It eliminates the need for a separate hosting service, reducing overall costs.
  • Built-In Community
WordPress.com hosts a large community of users, providing opportunities for networking and increased visibility through its social features.
  • Scalability
Various premium plans allow you to scale up as your website grows. You can start with a free plan and upgrade to more advanced features as needed.

Possible disadvantages

  • Limited Customization
You have less control over your website's design and functionality compared to self-hosted WordPress. Custom themes and plugins are often restricted or not allowed.
  • Monetization Restrictions
Free and lower-tier plans have limitations on monetization options. For instance, you can't use third-party ad networks unless you upgrade to a higher-tier plan.
  • Less Flexibility
The platform is less flexible compared to self-hosted solutions. Certain advanced features and customizations are not available or are limited.
  • Data Portability
Migrating your site from WordPress.com to another platform can be complicated and may require technical assistance, posing a challenge if you decide to move.
  • Price for Advanced Features
While the basic plans are affordable, the cost can add up if you choose to add advanced features and services. Some premium options can be relatively expensive.
  • WhatsApp AI Booking Assistant
Customers book, cancel, and check their account via WhatsApp conversation. The AI verifies identity with a one-time code, checks live availability, and confirms bookings
  • Subscription & Membership Billing
Sell recurring monthly and annual service plans with automated Stripe billing. Customers on active plans get booking access; lapsed plans automatically block scheduling without any manual intervention.
  • Service Quota Management
Tie subscriptions to a fixed number of sessions per billing period. Booking credits are tracked in real time and reset on renewal, so customers can never exceed what their plan includes.
  • Google Calendar Integration
All bookings sync to Google Calendar with full two-way capacity management. Fixed-schedule group sessions enforce participant limits; dynamic 1-on-1 appointments use real-time availability.
  • HubSpot CRM Integration
Connect HubSpot via OAuth in minutes. Every new customer, booking, Stripe payment, and WhatsApp message automatically logs to HubSpot, enabling re-engagement workflows triggered by plan lapses or renewals.
  • White-Label Customer Portal
A fully branded self-service portal where customers book sessions, manage subscriptions, view booking history, and update their profile — without contacting you.
  • One-Time & Package Payments
Sell single sessions and prepaid service bundles via Stripe alongside subscriptions. Credits are tracked per customer and expire on a configurable schedule.
  • Google Analytics Integration
Embed your Google Analytics tracking code inside your Bizzly website for tracking user activity and engagement
  • Drag and Drop Website Builder
Visual editor to allow easy configuration of layouts, components, and styles, including customising colour themes and branding

Full SEO capabilities providing structured schema, business information and AI discovery

Analysis

An editorial look at what each product does well and who it suits.

WordPress.com
Bizzly

Overall verdict

  • WordPress.com is generally considered a good platform, especially for bloggers, small businesses, and users who prefer a managed website solution. It strikes a balance between ease of use and powerful features, though it may not offer the same level of flexibility and control as self-hosted WordPress.org for developers and larger businesses.

Why this product is good

  • WordPress.com is a popular choice because it is user-friendly, offers robust customization options, and requires minimal technical skills to set up and maintain. It provides a range of plans, from free to premium, catering to various needs. The platform also handles hosting, security, and updates, which can be advantageous for users seeking convenience.

Recommended for

  • Bloggers
  • Small business owners
  • Individuals who need a simple personal website
  • Users who prefer a managed hosting environment
  • People with minimal technical expertise

Overall verdict

  • Bizzly appears to be a smaller, niche B2B/business tool whose overall quality depends heavily on your specific needs; without extensive independent reviews or a long track record, it should be considered a reasonable but unproven option worth trialing before committing long-term.

Why this product is good

  • Offers a specific business or workflow solution that may address needs not well covered by larger competitors
  • Likely provides more personalized customer support due to smaller scale
  • May have simpler pricing or fewer features to sift through compared to bloated enterprise tools
  • Could be more affordable for small businesses or startups needing basic functionality

Recommended for

  • Small businesses or startups looking for a lightweight solution
  • Users who prefer simplicity over feature-heavy platforms
  • Teams wanting to test a newer tool before committing to established competitors
  • Budget-conscious users needing basic functionality without enterprise pricing

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing WordPress.com and Bizzly.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Bizzly's answer:

Service business owners, fitness studios, dog walkers, personal trainers, cleaning companies, tutors, music teachers, groomers, kids' activity clubs — who currently manage bookings on WhatsApp, collect payment manually, and have been told "you need five different tools and three months to set this up properly." Bizzly is for the owner who wants it working today, not eventually.

What makes your product unique?

Bizzly's answer:

Most service businesses spend months (and significant money) piecing together a booking tool, a payment processor, a website builder, a CRM, and a customer communications channel, and still end up with gaps between them. Bizzly delivers the complete outcome in 15 minutes: a branded website, online booking, subscription billing with enforced quotas, automated notifications, and a WhatsApp AI assistant that handles customer requests 24/7. All configured, connected, and live from a single setup wizard.

There's no integration work, no Zapier glue, and no gap between what the customer pays for and what they can book. When a plan lapses, booking access is removed automatically. When a customer wants to book at 11pm, the WhatsApp assistant handles it without any human involved.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Bizzly's answer:

Booking tools give you bookings. Payment tools give you payments. Website builders give you a website. Bizzly gives you a running business — website, subscriptions, booking calendar, customer portal, automated billing, and a WhatsApp AI assistant in a single 15-minute setup, with everything connected from day one.

Competitors charge you separately for each layer and leave the integration to you. With Bizzly there is nothing to connect: a customer pays, their booking access activates; their plan lapses, their booking access stops. The WhatsApp assistant knows their plan, their quota, and their upcoming bookings without touching any other system.

What's the story behind your product?

Bizzly's answer:

The businesses that needed professional booking and subscription infrastructure the most — the dog walker with 30 regular clients, the PT with a loyal member base, the cleaning company building monthly recurring revenue — were exactly the ones being told to stitch together multiple tools themselves. The setup cost, both in time and money, meant most never got there.

Bizzly was built around one question: what does a service business actually need to be operational, and how quickly can we get them there? The answer is a branded website, subscription billing with enforced quotas, online booking, automated notifications, and a WhatsApp AI assistant. The goal was 15 minutes from signup to live, and that's what the platform delivers.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Bizzly's answer:

Bizzly is built on a modern web stack. The frontend uses Next.js, and the backend is powered by Python with a PostgreSQL database. Payments are processed through Stripe, and the platform integrates with services including WhatsApp Business API, HubSpot and Google.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Bizzly's answer:

Bizzly is used by service businesses across a range of industries, including: - Tutoring centres and private tutors - Cleaning and home services businesses - Kids activity clubs and children's activity providers - Fitness studios and personal trainers - Pet care and dog walking businesses - Beauty therapists.
