Analysis

An editorial look at what each product does well and who it suits.

Weekly Github
Figma Animations Library

Overall verdict

  • Weekly Github (weeklygithub.xyz) appears to be a niche newsletter or digest service that curates trending GitHub repositories and developer news on a weekly basis, making it a useful supplementary resource for developers who want to stay updated without constantly browsing GitHub themselves, though as a smaller/independent service it likely lacks the depth, verification, and track record of more established platforms.

Why this product is good

  • Provides a curated, time-saving digest of trending repositories so developers don't need to manually search GitHub
  • Helps users discover new open-source projects and tools they might otherwise miss
  • Likely lightweight and simple to consume, ideal for quick weekly updates
  • Can be useful for staying current with developer community trends

Recommended for

  • Developers who want a quick weekly overview of trending GitHub projects
  • Open-source enthusiasts looking to discover new repositories
  • Busy professionals who prefer curated content over manual browsing
  • Hobbyist coders wanting inspiration from popular community projects

Overall verdict

  • Figma Animations Library appears to be a resource offering pre-built animation assets and templates for Figma users, useful for designers looking to speed up prototyping without building motion effects from scratch, though quality and value depend on the specific asset library depth, update frequency, and licensing terms, which should be verified directly on the site before purchase.

Why this product is good

  • Provides ready-made animation templates that can save design time
  • Targets a specific niche (Figma prototyping) with specialized assets
  • May include a variety of interaction and transition styles for UI/UX work
  • Could integrate smoothly into existing Figma workflows

Recommended for

  • UI/UX designers who want to quickly prototype animated interactions in Figma
  • Freelancers or agencies needing fast turnaround on animated design demos
  • Designers with limited animation/motion design experience seeking plug-and-play solutions
  • Teams standardizing animation patterns across design projects

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Weekly Github and Figma Animations Library.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

Figma Animations Library's answer:

  • Designers
  • UI/UX Designers
  • Figma Users
  • Product Designers

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Figma Animations Library's answer:

Next.js, vercel, supabase, figma, posthog.

What makes your product unique?

Figma Animations Library's answer:

Figanimations is a collection of prebuilt, native Figma animations for UI/UX designers. Unlike external animation tools that break Figma's preview, these work seamlessly inside Figma — just copy, paste, and ship. No timeline editors, no learning curve. The goal is a full design system with animations for every component. This is v1 — a focused collection to start, shaped by what designers actually need.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Figma Animations Library's answer:

There are no direct competitors yet. Most animation tools work around Figma, not inside it. Figanimations is the only prebuilt animation library that's fully native to Figma.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Figma Animations Library's answer:

UI/UX designers who want production-ready animations in their Figma designs without the time sink.

What's the story behind your product?

Figma Animations Library's answer:

I kept hitting the same wall as a designer. Animations would either take too long to build from scratch or require tools that broke Figma's native preview. There was no simple, plug-and-play animation library built specifically for Figma. So I built one.
