Materialize CSSNo features have been listed yet.
Materialize CSS is recommended for teams and developers who prefer Google's Material Design aesthetic, are building applications with a focus on rapid UI development, and value consistency and ease of use. It's also great for projects where a pre-existing UI library speeds up the development process, such as prototypes, admin dashboards, or smaller web applications. However, for highly customized UI components or non-Material Design projects, other frameworks might be more suitable.
Based on our record, Materialize CSS should be more popular than WebKitGTK+. It has been mentiond 28 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
There may not be an official webview, but all (?) major distributions have libwebkit2gtk, which is used by Wails (Go) and Tauri (rust). So it's a de facto standard if not official. https://webkitgtk.org/ https://wails.io/docs/gettingstarted/installation/ https://v2.tauri.app/start/prerequisites/. - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
> Is it something a small team could conceivably do if you placed reasonable constraints on it: one platform at first, no cloud sync, minimal feature set, etc.? Yes. There's a `webkitdev` Docker image which includes the required software to build WebKit on Windowsยน, and you can use Playwright to run WebKit (including Web Inspector) on Windows very easilyยฒ. One small note regarding Native Webview meant above. You can find ultimate information on this topic here. In a nutshell, Tauri applications use as HTML renderer Webkit (safari engine) on MacOS, Microsoft Edge WebView2 on Windows, and WebKitGTK on Linux (port of Webkit for Linux). Pay attention to the fact that a Tauri application could behave differently on different platforms according to the information above. - Source: dev.to / over 3 years ago
Web (WebKitGTK) there is an alternative webkit browser that shares a lot of bugs, shortcomings, and peculiarities with Apple Safari. Simply called "Web" on my Ubuntu laptop, that "A simple, clean, beautiful view of the web. Powered by WebKitGTK 2.38.5" has also been known as Gnome Web or Epiphany in alternative builds and former version. It's got a beautiful minimalist globe icon, and it can save you time and... - Source: dev.to / over 3 years ago
So the Tauri website links to webkitgtk.org which at least is getting regularly updated, though I don't know just how closely it tracks upstream WebKit. Source: about 4 years ago
Materialize - Responsive front-end framework based on Material Design. - Source: dev.to / 6 months ago
Sure, why not use Blazor? It makes life easier for the developers who are primarily backend, to work on the frontend as well. Seems like the better choice. So what's next? The UI library. No shade to the long-time standing Bootstrap, but it's 2023 and there are so many other libraries one could use outside of Bootstrap; TailwindCSS, Bulma, Materialize CSS, just to name a few. Forget that for a minute, maybe we can... - Source: dev.to / 10 months ago
